No it is a great Idea. Its not asking your team for FP. What are you going to do with 5 Flexpoints man? I have had 5 extra for the longest time just sitting around. As long as it were friendlies only I could see it working. Also everyone who isn't reading this properly. He isn't saying its required for your team to pay. Its just a place to dump off an extra 5 FP or so that you don't need, into a team fund that will only work for friendlies. Like I said Ryan I like This Idea. I don't mind tossing out 200 FP a season for friendlies, but The more the overall team pays for the better also friendlies are great for testing stuff out. I learned alot last season against top flight competition.

Yeah, this would be great, espcially if you retire a guy and get like 910 points back. What are you gonna do with those 10 Points??? Put them in the teams Flex Point Bank, that's what.

I don't care for the idea. You will end up using the flex points eventually once you have retired enough guys over time.

Having a "bank" would end up causing more headaches than it would be worth. Can you imagine all of the people bitching "I gave my flex to X team and then they traded me!! I want my flex back because my player isn't starting any more!!"

What a nightmare this would be.

well.... i dont plan on retiring any of my guys. and i understand your point about players wanting flex points back. so that goes into the whole "dont put money in if you dont trust your team" im with a lot of great people i have known for many seasons, i trust them they trust me. dont donated if you dont trust your team

I did not read through the 11 pages to see if this argument has been brought up or not, BUT:

Scenerio:

FA gets a pm from an owner, FA signs with the team. Owner then demands that FA donates flex for friendlies. FA declines. Owner benches that FA.

I would not do this but there are owners that would. If there weren't owners like this, we would not have so many owner bashing threads.

Another thing is owners might start just signing FAs that say they will donate. Then bench them when they don't.

Those are just the two ways this could be abused IMO off the top of my head.

i see your point, this again goes into the issue of "do you trust your team" PM players on the team when your being recruited, ask about the owners history in the league forums and such

I hate being the devils advocate here, but I'd hate for there even to be a chance for bad owners to take advantage of this. Imagine what it would do to recruiting lol

this is true. its a good idea but we all know GLB Owners can be really stupid. i know id never force any1 to donate to scrimmages, unless they had a friend they wanted to face. but other than that i dont care who donates and who doesnt as long as we all stay active and set gameplans

but other owners will bench and rot players for sure.

Yep, and I would never force donations either. But I could see other owners doing it, and getting away with it.
