I would actual like the replays, that way you can watch the game, instead read it. The last thing I want to do is get home from school and have to read more!!!! lol

stop getting off topic, remember, this is about being able to speak strategy during the games and being able to watch them. The main idea is to discuss gameplan

That would be alright but all they would have to do is set it up on IRC tbh and I think a few teams already do that.

it is a pain to set up an irc; say "everyone hit the play button at 7pm sharp - and everyone watch the game at a speed of 7.5 and everyone pause at every possession change so everyone can be caught up and on the same play...


it's complicated that way

So the game would be continuously running in the background with an IRC-like room. I think that'd be great but I doubt many would get on there

no -

a team (or owner) would decide something like - ok - we are watching today's game at 7pm sharp.

everyone would enter the 'sports bar' or 'film room' that the owner rented for the evening (or season).

the top half of the screen would look like it does now - but hopefully with the greasemonkey features added in (stat tracking; etc)

the bottom half of the screen would be a chat room for either:
- your team (to discuss the game; strategy and have fun)
or
- your team and the opponents team (for smack talking; friendly competition)

maybe even private parties could be purchased and invites sent out (like private forums) for big games that a league or conference wants to watch together.

the sports bar/film room would exist only for a few hours after it's scheduled time - it wouldn't be available constantly.

That is a bit complicated tbh. It would be hard to set up at an exact time.
