you cant make a qb with a whole lot of passing, he would be pointless on defense.

there are various strategies and people can build players how they want to, and use players how they want to

it doesn't require any random selective nerfs because that would diminish the value of building a team based on a good passing QB and speedy receivers, etc

this league idea loses a lot of interest if you randomly go around nerfing shit, not to mention strategy. And it is much less likely to happen if you have a list of things you think "ought" to be nerfed but you have no evidence that says it does

This. If someoenw wants to just a build an explosive offense with good QBs, HBs, and WRs, let them pay the price for it on defense. By the way haloe, are there going to be position limits? I.E., can't have more than 2 HBs, etc.

From the initial discussions, the only thing we would want is a 20 man roster limit. How you build players (position & all) & where you slot them are entirely up the the team.

Exactly ... and the reason we don't want to nerf all the OOP is because we don't want people to build a team that has 8 centers and 7 linebackers

ya but passing is nerfed in the pee wees only. i think it would be wise to nerf passing in iron man as well, or it will be nothing but rushing. it will have to be nerfed until 14 at least though. after that, we would have to test, but it would have to be nerfed in peewee at a minimum just like regular is

If you did this, then teams don't even need to build a quarterback, because passing is getting an artificial boost anyway. It discourages teams from building a pass-heavy team because the value of being able to pass is much lower.

I think your idea, if implemented, could single-handedly ruin the entire Iron Man experience because then every team WOULD be nothing but a strength-based running team that gets an artificial boost in the passing game.

no, it would work just like in peewee. if you have 20 passing, it wont do you any good. you will have to have 50 passing just like in peewee

No matter how you try to randomly nerf it, I'm 100% against it because it will completely devalue the passing game by making everyone good at passing.

its nerfed in pee wee. before it was nerfed 2 seasons ago, they would go 1 of 10 and nobody passed. if its not nerfed at the peewee levels, nobody would pass.
