Well, that's one way to get people talking about the East again - mention how no one is talking about the East.
There's some great teams in the East, no doubt about it. Ratings and talent are close enough that most of the teams likely headed for the playoffs could conceivably beat any of the other teams they'll see there. There's some great coaches who've put together very different styles, and seeing them clash has been a lot of fun so far.
But I think what Sanderval was sort of saying is right now, we're still a long way away from the playoffs. When its a week or two to go, there'll be lots of chatter and challenges and comparisons. The teams will look significantly different by then with players levelling, boosting, etc.
For now, most of the big, nail-biter, seeding-deciding matches have happened. Upsets can always happen, and still might throw the whole division into chaos, but the top teams have mostly played their games against each other.
In the west, this isn't the case. The playoff race is totally unclear, and there's still some of the most anticipated matchups of the regular season to come.
In a couple weeks, when we hit the playoffs, it'll be totally different. Both divisions will have an exciting run to see who will get to the title game. Right now, most of the talk is on the west, because they still a lot more to determine about who will be where when playoff time comes. This is nothing against anyone in either division, its just how the schedules have played.
