Interception numbers ARE up. That is build related. That isn't a "ninja change" at all.

It definitely is build related, but the sim also changed a little before leaving beta to make it much more INT-friendly. Before that there was little point in building a defender with 60+ catching.

Arguably no one hates GLB turnovers more than me. Definitely no one has hated them longer.

you hate the snowball effect. not the dots doing something ... or am i off on that?

there are some fundamentals that are just broken in this game but we had to work within the common-knowledge that bort wasn't going to change anything radically those last couple seasons.

obv as a D guy i pushed that side of things, though with bhall on O it was a pretty balanced yin and yang by the end of it.

The INT opportunity was there for many seasons, it just took awhile for the builds to come up cuz everyone was in a KL craze

we focused on it towards the end of one of those testing sessions, but yes it took awhile for the builds to come. that was a tough once to balance cuz we didn't want a bunch of soft cap catching causing problems either. wanted someone with a plan and desire to be great at it ... to be great at it.

Sure, but the snowball effect is inevitable because Bort has refused to fix it for five years now.

The only things I really pushed for offensively was broken tackles. Both for HB's and Receivers. HB's got it.

Well, yes and no. There was a discussion (not in that last run of testing but a couple seasons earlier) about how catching wasn't even showing to be a factor in interceptions and that it was wildly random. There were guys out there with 60 catching who weren't intercepting balls like you see now. And we laughed at their notion to continue pursuing it. Bort made a change somewhere in there.
