So is team chat developed using another method than the third party software in question? I can't verify that it is actually working because I have never seen anyone, ever, using any team chat. It does seem to be working. I can in the very least talk to myself. I figure that all those who like the feature so much can just get on a team together and quit belly aching so damn much.

I was on a team for a while where if the owner saw anyone else from the team online at the same time as him, he'd send them a PM that just said "Come to team chat." Actually had some fun chats that way, but it was a rather cumbersome way to discuss team matters. I find PMs and team forums just work better for that, especially since there's no easy way to store, save, and post a chat transcript.
That was the only team I've ever seen use the Team Chat. I've never used it for any of my own teams, and I've never seen any of the other teams I've been connected with use it.

As, I think, has been stated in this thread, the security flaw is only with the third party software. Team chat doesn't have the vulnerability. They're completely different.
