Chiefs just need to trade everyone.
Trade Dwayne Bowe to the Vikings for a 1st
Trade Charles, Hali, everyone else for a 1st each. Chiefs have several players that are worth 1st round picks. They would then had 5 or 6 1st round picks and could draft a WR, O-Line, RB, CB, SS. And sign a QB (alex smith)

lol

teams dont give up 1st round picks for veteran players because they have to pay them veteran salaries.

This thread is fun.

And I'm really not sure which is worse, the beat down dpride and co. gave to chief's RQB, the beat down chief is taking in this thread, or the beat down the Chief's take on a weekly basis in the NFL.

The worst part is trying to figure out who sportsgamerz21 really is and why everyone is hanging on his sack.

We havent drafted and developed our own QB early in so many years its not even funny, while every other team in the league tries it again and again until they hit something. We on the other hand dont even try and havent since i think Todd Blackledge.

Even if Geno isnt the route they want, there will be plenty of good prospects in the 2nd round like Mike Glennon, Tyler Wilson, or maybe even Barkley if he falls. We have to and will draft a QB in the 1st or 2nd. Also hopefully we find out tomorrow that Pioli and Crennel are both gone.

well dude i do believe your wrong... we tried on croyle and failed and cassel came to us as a "next schaub type player" glennon will be gone in the first round wilson will be around but isnt a 2nd round prospect barkley is a tweener 1st 2nd just because of his numbers but i really hope they dont draft him at all. geno smith with 2 of the best wrs in the ncaa couldnt amass shit vs the big 12 thus imo doesnt deserve the first round tag either. there are no qbs imo that deserve a first round pick in this class.

alex smith is still young enough to play another 6-8 years at a high level and with this teams talent being fairly young still they need a veteran qb to come in and be able to lead them. regardless of what has been said about him he got the 9ers to the CCG last season. he also had the 9ers in the lead in the nfc this season till he was injured and replaced. plus the last time the chiefs took a 9ers qb off the fa market they did pretty good with him i think.

i think this is a situation where the chiefs need to get a new hc, oc, and gm. they need to bring in a new qb one way or another and sure up the oline and get poe to develop a mean streak and earn his draft stock from last season.

we have eric berry who is a do it all safety and pro bowler, why draft a new hb when charles just had a top 5 season behind a suspect line and we wont draft better or get much for him (hbs are not worth much in the league n e more) wr we need oline we need why trade hali when the d for the most part isnt that bad we just need a dt, and cb opposite flowers maybe one more linebacker.

we sign alex to a 2 yr deal, move down in the draft to add picks aim for maybe trade with the browns so they can ensure they get teo and the chiefs get to add a 2nd rounder and draft taylor lewan or even luke joeckel if he is there although i think its fairly certain the eagles will take him to sure up there line.

but imo the only guy on our roster currently that may be worth a 1st rounder is hali and maybe berry if its a late round 1st rounder. what sux is the chiefs have drafted relatively poorly in the last few seasons and with pioli making the calls on the picks i would hope he is gone and a whole new regime brought in because of the amount of bad choices he has made.

Well, i believe you are wrong.

Alex Smith is an average QB at best. It doesnt matter what his team has done, its what he has done. If a teams success matters, than why dont we just grab Sanchez? The reason is because he is a scub, and while Smith is better than Sanchez, he is a below average QB, as in there are at least 16 better QBs in the league. So why in the world would you want to invest in that? I dont see how any Chiefs fan isnt sickened by the lack of effort of getting our own QB.

Remember that one offseason when we "tried to sure up our o-line by picking up one of the best RT's in the league, then drafted Jefff Allen in the 2nd round, then drafted Donald Stephenson in the 3rd round? Also taking Stephenson right before Russel Wilson was drafted which was a much needed position that we could have easily taken a flier on. Now you want do it again? Holy hell man. This sounds like Pioli's plan. Take over a 2-14 team and turn it into a worse 2-14 team 4 years later.

Geno definitely will be and is worth a 1st, but just not elite like some in the past, but has all the talent needed to coach into a star QB. Yeah he had 2 very good wideouts, but he had no o-line and his defense was absolutely horrible which resulted in him playing catch up every game which is a lot of pressure, yet he still ended the season with 42 TDs and 6 INTs.

Glennon likely wont be a 1st round pick. Scouts are smarter than the "experts" that drool over his size and arm strength.

Wilson is most definitely worth a 2nd rounder. Prime example of a QB that has everything except on a shitty team. Watch this kid at the combine, he will climb everyone's board and will likely be the 2nd QB drafted. Watch some film of him, and you will think he has Aaron Rodgers attributes. Similar build, big arm, good poise, good mechanics, accurate, and mobile. If i knew we could get him in the 2nd i would be happy with any of the top prospects in the 1st, but i dont think there is any way he makes it to the 2nd come draft time.

lolno. Best case, Geno Smith ends up being a legitimate starting quarterback but a below average one (so in that 17-32 range). Also, lol @ saying that Tyler Wilson "has Aaron Rodgers attributes." Have you honestly never heard the expression about keeping your mouth shut and letting people think you're a fool rather than opening your mouth and proving it? There are no quarterbacks in this class who even have the chance to be "franchise" type guys. Why waste a pick and a season developing a guy who will always be no better than below average? Other people aren't advocating Alex Smith as a franchise savior, but rather as an adequate stop-gap until such a time as the Chiefs can take a quarterback worth drafting.

I hate agreeing with you Bolick...

One thing I will say though, is that in this coming offseason there will be one QB that makes it to a Pro Bowl mixed in somewhere. I haven't got a clue who it will be, but I think one unpredicted QB makes an impact on the NFL at some point.
