The point is that hope of afterlife makes them less human. You should react to this life and if there's another sweet however worrying about worshipping a being in order to get salvation/blessings is ridiculous.

Now if Christians were like the Buddhists and followed Jesus' teachings/lifestyle and only sought that in life I wouldn't mind Christianity.

God is bullshit though.

It's like St. Nick. Great and kind hearted guy. What bad could come from him?

Santa Claus who fucks up the idea of Christmas so instead of being about spreading joy to the less fortunate it has become a rat race to procure hot toys so your children (who already have toys) can be happy.

No religion has not shed more blood. As someone stated earlier, Greedy men have used religion to declare war, such as the "Holy" war. You can look past the holy and see the many benefits to man if a war has started, but people were more likely to support follow if they said it was in the name of god. Lets look past all the hollywood movies, religion is rarely involved in war.

It was about making the less fortunate happy.Not giving presents based on a societal necessity. Have you ever went a Christmas without giving someone presents? It is looked down upon now.

I don't care if you want to call Christmas a Christian holiday.

But the point is that St. Nick did good things in his lifetime but Santa Claus is a distorted version of St. Nick that makes people compelled to do it for a reason that isn't necesary.

The same thing applies to Jesus and God. God ahead and follow Jesus' teachings however there is no need to buy into an afterlife simply for being a kind person.

Religion is not the cause for most wars. thats what i'm saying, man can say that it is but they always have their own motives and just use the religious part to help gain support for the war.
