Not to be a newb, but what's the difference between a ranked and non-ranked scrimmage? I just always set my tourney games for ranked and general scrimmage games for non-ranked.

yeah but this is a difficult game to organize for, so it should be unranked, coz things go wrong in the process of organizing it ...I didn't choose the time for the scrimmage, coz obviously I wouldn't have made it so close to my regular season game ...I didn't have time to game plan for it and apply tags ...there like over 40hrs after the scrimmage where Revolver has no games scheduled, so thx to Main Grenadiers for the consideration

The reason why they are non ranked is because it's an air attack passing game. It basically came about in season 12 when passing was terrible. So I didn't want a solid gold team passing the ball for 3 quarters obeying the rules, only to have some copper team come in and run all 4 quarters and win by a landslide just to have it show on their profile page they hammered a gold team. So if they are non ranked it will somewhat deter that thinking. We still have occasions where teams get disqualified for rushing the ball all game but with the improved passing its not as glaring had it been in season 12. I figure the rule should stand today as its just better this way. We know what games are the air attack. Look for the worse loss each season around day 30 on my schedule and you will see an air attack championship game

well it was my understanding that the tournament would be unranked, and if it isn't anymore, then don't expect Revolver to be associated with it for next season! ...it's just not worth it!

then why does it need to be ranked then?!? ...we all know that game planners mess up with the rules and changing AIs between regular season games and this, and game organising is a bitch for this tourney!

yeah I thought about checking the schedule conflicts before accepting, but Revolver was already lagging behind the other teams for scheduling, and I have been busy organising so many other matters with the team, among other things ...so my mistake was that I assumed that Main would be more considerate ...but these are the reasons why the OP should have it stated that the scrimmages shouldn't be ranked, and the onus shouldn't be placed on the owners for keeping these matters organised ...the Air Attack Tourney should be a fun thing, and not a pain to be involved in ...these schedules might not seem like such a difficult thing for you guys to stay on top of, but I have to decode the server dates and times to Australian scheduling, so it becomes more complexed for me to keep organised for

Maybe it's time to consider scaling back and only being active on your main team and maybe 1-2 more? I did that as I over extended myself last season, so doing less on other teams this season.

It doesn't need to be ranked. These games are actually supposed to be unranked.

Well it's still a Tourney, and unless it's a junk/mock Tourney, I would consider all Tourney games as important, and thus ranked. But you are correct in that LE said they don't have to be. I wouldn't be surprised that some people just automatically rank all Tourney games, like I do. Nothing says you can't reject and send a non-ranked scrimmage request back for the same date/time.

Chicago 85' Bears advance over Boston Bruisers...

Fair game too, ie no rushes outside normal rushing quarter.

unless it is the Official Peewee Tourney, then it is inevitably gonna be a 'junk/mock' tourney ...but still because of the more complexed nature of this tourney, regarding the altering of players' settings and team AIs, it is even moreso gonna be a 'junk' tourney, coz teams are not always gonna conform to the rules for whatever reason, whether it scheduling or carelessness, agent innactivity, etc ...it is always gonna be difficult to organise to the tourney requirements ...for this reason teams are not gonna take this tourney seriously, so that is why it needs to be unranked! ...the good teams wouldn't even consider compromising their team ranking for some other team that couldn't make the necessary arrangements to meet the tourney requirements ...and Revolver is one of them!

It's been successful for 3 seasons now. TBH your the first to complain about it. Probably the reason we lose in this tourney is I cant get my Hbs, Fbs and others to switch EQ to the passing tourney. Still pretty cool IMO.
