Not at all brother. Pretty spot on if you ask me. I had stepped down as Spicewood's DC 2 days prior to him selling the team.

Shit happens. It was still only 1 game though which seemed to tip him over the edge, which is questionable. Seems like one of those cases where someone spends hours on a gameplan only to lose, and then they sell their team out of frustration. Whatever though it's his money and his team. I still think it is the wrong move to sell after 3 games. Especially when it would take him no additional flex, time, or money to run the team for the rest of the season.

Shit does happen...game in and game out. The sim is just becoming not worth the time to plan for. And to say that it would take him no additional time is delusional at best. The best case scenario for him was to sell and quit the game. I only sometimes wish I could walk away. Hopefully this game becomes worth it again someday.

I meant it would take him no additional flex, time, or money to just keep his team the rest of the season. He didn't have to gameplan, but I mean he has nothing to lose by keeping the team throughout the season. Yet he sells it early and the league suffers. Whatever though, what's done is done.

Although what you say is true, it's also not fair to his agents on the team who boosted players to play for a team that's not going to try to win. If I had to make a decision between agents on my team and the league, I'd probably go with the agents as well.

Best of luck RJ. Sucks that Spicewood is going down but there is no point in playing a game that doesn't keep you entertained. I am already missing those extra west recaps.

We need a better clue. If we were to scramble his user name would these be the letters?

The sad thing is, it doesn't matter one bit to Bort if the top owners quit, its probably even better for him! Pro Owners are pretty much set in terms of Flex, and aren't purchasing as much, and will be able to ride things out for a while. By having Pro Owners quit, it opens up the pyramid so the lower teams (who are still buying flex points) can move up and feel better about themselves.

the pro owners are his loudest critics...he probably cant wait till we all die...

Well, I for one know I'm recruiting some of the agents from this team. Some of the best in the business around this joint...but I also agree with RJ that I think I'm done spending flex on GLB - I'll let my team run its course with the current flex that I have (another 5-6 seasons at least), but unless something drastic changes, I can't see myself coming back

Damnit, RJ, I'm sorry to see you go. Not because of the Gut job. Frankly, never cared much either way about them, but because I always liked and respected you and the Horns. For what it's worth though, as evident by my post in that thread, I thought the 'bitching and whining' comment was out of line myself.
