You think about it. A level 47 DE can't get a sack on a level 1 OT and people always say blowout game cruise control was on. Well even with cruise control and the DE at 50% normal effectiveness (or whatever it cuts you down to) should still beat the OT every single time.

It hurts your testing, when legitimate problems can be argued away with "The arbitrary thing that kicks in on unknown circumstances makes you suck". It'd be a lot easier to find bugs without junk like this getting in the way.

It made a ton of sense, what is the point of cruise control anymore now that energy doesn't carry over from game to game? It seems like an outdated, pointless thing that only hinders the game.

What does it matter? It wouldn't change much. If anything cruise control is screwing things up right now especially on defense.

It's so bad that defensive players especially DLs are screwed by it while offensive players reap the benefits.

Because there are other factors to getting sacks -

* the O line gets tired
* their morale goes into the crapper because they are getting killed
* have to wait for opportunities where SA's fire (or VA's fire)
* other team has to pass more due to being behind so much
* other team may go to deeper pass routes in an effort to score

those are reasons - just off the top of my head - why the D-line might get sacks later in a game (even if they weren't getting them on the first 2-3 series)

Why does my punt/kick returner continue to put up TD's in the double digits with cruise control, or have HB's averaging 25 YPC then? Cruise control as we have it isn't the least bit logical and heavily drags down defensive players, it needs to be all or nothing.

This love for getting the stats to be realistic annoys me. Fuck the stats. I'd rather the sim be more realistic and consistent season to season instead of worrying about getting stats to be NFL like percentage wise.
