Its save to say ive pwned more than just once person during this discussion as i come out the Victor.

I mean that unless this thread wasn't really an attempt to have a serious discussion, then the thread became really sad. It wasn't even a flame fest, it was just garbled mess of confusion. It originally was pretty orderly, which I was a fan of. Then it became the opposite.

it was actually an attempt to have a serious discussion but imo it didnt fail that hard considering how 'delicate' the subject is.
Opinions were shared, questions were asked and answered and there was no flaming.

I don't believe that teams should be relegated on a case-by-case basis; if there is a problem with the mechanics of the promotion/relegation system, then fix the system, don't do these ad hoc switches late in the game. Kutzy earned his way to the Pros just like we did, and for all we know he was going to fill his roster before the season starts. Probably not, but on what basis does EEORG get demoted - because their roster doesn't meet a human player threshold? What are the standards here, or is it just based on a few people who have the ear of the powers that be? If the system needs to be changed, then change it. Teams should not be penalized for not wanting to eat, drink, and breathe GLB - and if that is a requirement to stay in the pros, then it damn well better be written somewhere.

As for Randy, I don't really have an opinion of him, like it matters - he has good writeups that are interesting to read, but is often wrong in his opinions about what teams are doing behind the scenes. The only beef I have with him is when he excoriated Bossinthehouse for blaming the sim early in the season, and then turned around and blamed the sim when MCXA won our first two playoff games. That tweaked me a little bit, but then I went to the fridge, drank a nice Trappist ale, and forgot about dots. Randy is way too thin-skinned, but I admire his passion for the game - I still disagree with the way this has been handled, which puts me in the odd position of agreeing with the Misc ... I'm being assimilated, the bastards
