+1. The "I would never offer this" argument against this idea seems pretty lame. There are a lot of owners and players who would like this, so I don't see how it affects those owners who wouldn't offer it just like the owners who would never offer the absolute no-trade clause are not hurt by its availability.

I think this would be pretty cool, but maybe a minimum fame for the player would be required? Much more realistic, as not every player gets this type of clause currently, typically only high profile players.

Well there are two types of agents in the GLB world: the players, and the owners.
The players will love this idea. The owners..........not so much. And there are always going to be some people that abuse this option. There will be 1 player with this clause in his contract who is causing problems on his team and he will reject every trade offer and if it's past the roster move deadline then the owner is screwed until the end of the season.

2. No one has been able to explain how this could be abused. Worst case scenario a player rejects every trade offer. Know what the net effect is? The exact same as a no-trade clause. And people aren't complaining that those are abused, are they?
