The OLB's in football should be well versed to beable to blitz through the TE or no TE..

The game is already flawed with blitzing CBs, and LBs b4 the TE or the line for that matter even reconizes it..

In the NFL which we try to base this game off of i suppose... The ROLB don't switch sides cause the TE does.. the LBs just switch jobs, the LOLB will blitz and the ROLB will cover the TE.. Vice versa.. there is no such thing as a SOLB and WOLB.. atleast in my 15years of football experiance have I heard those terms..

just my 2 cents.

Are you retarded? You've never heard of "Sam" "Will" and "Mike" LBs? Yes LBs do switch sides depending on Offensive alignment. 15 years of football experience my ass...

I've got an idea. Some people may have a problem with this for two reasons.
1) No clue what LB to put where, or where SS and WS is (assuming gamer who walked into football game)
2) Some people, like me, define strong side differently. I define it to FB side (usually, things change sometimes when I see tenancies....) So have a drop down or check down box of things that determine SS, if it is used at all. (aka LOLB/ROLB setup is used) Things like Wide Side of Field, FB side, TE side, WR stacked side of field, etc.

SO having a choice in using it and a choice in what determines SS, if it is used at all would make a big difference.

What determines strong or weak side is the side the TE lines up on. It has nothing to do with WRs or FBs. It's because the TE is a lineman and therefore more blockers on the STRONG side.

Hey Hey Hey Hey, What if, lets say, Weak I TE right pops up. Effectively, you have equal blockers. I am from a power running area and because of that, I have been taught the FB side is where the ball usually (like 80-90%) goes. If I see that in an offense (trying to exploit SS shifting) I may want to set MY SS to FB side. If there is a tenancy to pass/off tackle run to the wide side of the field (not controllable at this moment in time) I may want to set my SS as the wide side.

Just saying, maybe I want my SS LB where the TE isn't for a stunt. Usually WS backers can cover too.

I don't see why people are saying this isn't necessary when it clearly is. If the offense can put a speedy WR at FB whenever they want (without us reacting of course), then we should at least be able to have real LB positions.

im still pissed that i mentioned this idea before, but and got some +1s and shit, but some people hadn't even heard of WOLB/SOLB and such so it never went anywhere. Im the real napster!

When you suggested it...it was a bad idea since the right side was always the strong side

I think he means that since before the new OAI updates, this change was not needed and Strong was ALWAYS right and Weak was ALWAYS left. Now, with the TE shifts and ability to leave them in as a blocker this addition is essential.

Anyways I don't really care who gets the credit, just as long as it gets implemented!
