Two critiques.
1. I think Ints are currently undervalued for Dbacks, especially in comparison to PD. A PD is 2 pts and an Int is 3. It would take 3 straight PDs to force a change in possession, but only one Int, usually with better field position. I would suggest 1.5 pts for a PD and 3 for an Int, or 2 for a PD and 4 for an Int. I might even go higher. I would also value Ints higher than FF, as an FF doesn't always result in a change of possesion.
2. Even if Bort adds Sacks Allowed, I'm still no sure that there's a good way to compare O-line players based on stat lines. Sometimes making a block and holding it is better than a pancake. Unfortunately, I don't have a good suggestion on how to fix this.
1.My thinking on the defensive formula was this: a turnover gives you the ball right away and PD is almost getting an INT. I figured catching the ball was about 1 third of an INT (finding ball and position on WR), so a PD should be worth 2/3 of an INT.
Fumbles I thought of FF as presenting the opportunity and creating the turnover while a FR was just a right place; right time stat.
2.A successful block percentage would have to be figured out. Something like (TotalBlocks- (AllowedSacks+AllowedHurry+TackleMadeByHisMan)/TotBlocks
