I would say its a pretty dead-even matchup. Should be fun.

That was a very accurate analysis actually.

Congrats Yetis on winning the Inaugural GLB World Cup and thank you to all teams for participating. Hope to see all of you next season again.

Arctic Bay Yetis Capture Inaugural GLB World Cup

Behind a relentless defense that hounded and terrorized Santiago QB Ben Randall all game long, the Arctic Bay Yetis of the Canadian Pro League traveled to Estadio O'Higgins and captured the Inaugural GLB World Cup, defeating the Santiago Benitos of the South America Pro League by a score of 7-0.

"We have perhaps the toughest defense in all of GLB" said Yeti owner MiniHusk. "We knew if we could keep the Benitos out of the end zone, we had a great chance to win. The shutout is just icing on the cake." And with the final margin of victory, the Yetis became the first team ever to hold the Benitos to zero points, behind the strength of 11 hurries and 10 sacks on QB Randall. "That was some fun out there" said Yetis DE Joe Taylor. "I got to chase him around 9 times, with 5 hurries and 4 sacks, while DE Corn Head nailed him 3 times as well."

But the Benitos showed why they are one of the top teams in GLB, by holding the Yetis to just 247 total yards, behind smash-mouth defensive play of their own. "Each time they started to gain momentum, our defense stepped up and stopped their drive" said Benito owner Havoc. "This game was everything a championship game should be, and we can hold our heads high and be proud of the way we played." One of the GLB World Cup masterminds concurred. "We took a lot of heat while planning and executing this event" said Hokiemon, owner of the Lake Opeta Legionnaires, two time defending champions of the African Pro League. "But you couldn't have asked for a more exciting, more talented set of teams from all the Pro Leagues, and this final game proved that."

Great thanks to all the teams that participated, and best of luck to all the rest of Season 5 and beyond!

Eastern Europe Pro League -- Stalingrad Gryphon Army
USA Pro League -- San Antonio Saints
Southeast Asia Pro League -- Bangkok Seamen*
South America Pro League -- Santiago Benitos

Great Game Santiago, this was easily the toughest game I have gameplanned for in my time with the Yetis.

Both teams cancelled each other out, and it was our Defenseive superbuilds that won the day, this time.

Looking forward to defending the title next season.
