Can someone please explain and show me a valid reason the FB has to be within 10 points on speed with the starting HB?

I have never seen an issue with the HB running over my FB even at the earlier lvls.
I am also under the assumption that FBs snag that D player 5 yards, maybe 10 (and thats scretching it) down the field that the Oline cant get to. Its also important that the HB is further down the field then whoever's blocking for him so that the D players cant take him down from behind.

Well it happens.

I was having issues with them being 20 points apart.

I got them to about 11, and its ok again.

The increased speed isn't just to prevent the HB from running up his back, but it also helps get through the hole and seal off a linebacker/safety before they can get into the hole.

I've really found speed to help.

I've even been tempted to redo my equipment out of str and into speed.

Our backup FB has speed in the 30s and has the most rushing yards (450) and broken tackles (76) than any FN in the conference last season. His speed is LOW.

The thing about FBs is that they tend to double team a d-lineman half the time or they get hung up with the LB/SS at the line. So strength is needed to pancake him then get out in front, but by the time you pancake the first guy, the HB is well on his way.

It depends. As long as the HB averages at least 3.7 yards per game, thats pretty successful, especially against a top team.

Its weird.

I will say that blocking doesn't need to be higher than 20. Only because the blocking attribute just increases the time you block someone. A FB just needs to dumpt the gy on his ass then move to the next guy.

Too bad i wasted all those points in blocking. But i guess it helps on passing plays. So get speed up before you get blocking up.

hope this offers insight. i have been around for a while, but I am always learning...especially when atributes get nerfed every year So build strategies radically change.
