So I got curious on what the history of the Bort Bowl was and well checked out the stats and this is what I came up with (For the Alpha players, I did not add the alpha season because well a lot of things has changed since then).

Season 1

San Jose Spartans (13-1) VS Chicago Mustangs (9-6)

31-44 Chicago Mustangs http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=8722

Season 2

Washington Extreme (11-5) VS Chicago Mustangs (13-3)

30-0 Washington Extreme
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=37237

Season 3

Bourbon Street Bullies (13-3) VS Kalamazoo Coyotes (14-2)

17-31 Kalamazoo Coyotes
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=78239

Season 4

San Antonio Saints (11-5) VS Boston Nighthawks (12-4)

10-31 Boston Nighthawks

Analysis

Well some things that I've noticed.
Only the Mustangs have been to the Bort bowl twice.
The score is 1-3 Eastern Conference
You have to score at least 30 points to win a Bort Bowl.
The teams that won ran the ball more than their opponents

Questions

Who's the best Bort Bowl Champion?
Best Bort Bowl?
Any other Q's about the Bort Bowl?

my comments

p.s. I had no idea of the San Jose Spartans record in season 1 (I just looked at one of their player who played for the team for the majority of the season)

p.p.p.s. Any other info you guys noticed or saw I'll update this post

p.p.p.p.s. I know it may be a little early with only 4 but its always good to look back at the past.

Ok then, a lot of things have changed since Season 1, so should that not count either? And also Season 2? Season 3?

I would have to agree that the Broken Bowl has changed every year.

How do you know something is broken if you've never seen it?

Well if I had some info from alpha season that could help out a little..

Considering also the limited amount of people that played during alpha season compared to Beta I don't think we should compare the two.

Considering this is Beta obviously there's going to be changes each season, but the stats have been somewhat similar each season. Also you really need to stop crying about the Boston Nighthawks and their running game, I'm pretty sure that most of us who check the forums know about you constantly stating the flaws of this game...

Alpha Season is like the NFL before the merger when everyone played in leather helmets and the forward pass was illegal.

Yeah, it counts, and all...but only hardcore fans even know about it and almost nobody cares.

Alpha: Detroit Nasty beat Silverymoon Elves (pretty much the Pushovers now) by 30something points.

Considering season 1 was the closest matchup, I guess that was the best, but really, some of the semi-final matchups have been the best ones of the playoffs.

The 'alpha' Silverymoon Elves franchise was sold to switchgear in season 1, and became the Washington Extreme.
