Lack of search function induced simple questions:

Out of a base 4-3, do LB shifts influence LB personnel in a #-2-# nickel/dime package (i.e. a strong side shift causes the ROLB to be pulled, a weak side shift causes the LOLB to be pulled?

In a shift, does stacking the box put the shifted-toward outside LB on the LOS as opposed to a few steps back (for example would a ROLB on a weakside shift line up on the LOS if the play was run focus vs. a few steps off if the play were pass focus)?

Finally, leaving a blitzer blank in the advanced AI blitz selection chart seems to refer back to the basic AI blitz% setting, however this does not seem to work for CBs. Is this a correct assessment?

Sorry for the basic questions. Just took over as DC of my team and again, search function would've helped. I could find out with some testing in a scrimmage or two but I'd rather use those to fine tune the AI as opposed to answer some basic queations

3) I've seen my CB's blitz, and I know exactly which output was called. It was an output where I had 90% or something set on one of my linebackers. The LB didn't blitz, so it used our basic settings (33% blitz) and chose a CB to blitz. Very stupid, if you ask me. A blank setting should equal 0% by default.

Do the basic defensive settings need to be all blank in order to reliably get the advanced AI?

i use both, i use the basic for setting up inside outside run type stuff and depth of coverage and reading pass/run...i figured it wouldnt hurt to make sure both were set the way i scouted a team.....

Yeah. I used both all season, but I didn't mean to use the blitz settings from the basic AI. It was set at 33% really early in the season before I fleshed out the advanced AI. I guess the easiest way is to set basic blitz at 0%, rather than going through and manually entering "0" into all of the boxes. Heh.

lol, i just kept it set on a certain % for blitz and made enough blitzing plays within my 5 plays per formation playbook, to about equal that same % in the basic blitz.....does that make sense?

A blank in the advanced should get you the basic %blitz setting. A 0 should kill any chance of that defender blitzing. I make a point of setting the defenders to 0 in the advanced to prohibit any unanticipated blitzing, leaving blanks for those I want to use the basic chance, or 100 for those I definately want going. Blank for CBs didn't work for me though (even though basic was set to 80%), where all other positions do, hence my question

Sometimes.
