Frankfurt HEAT - 13 Rotterdam Roughnecks - 34
-Roughnecks, are you watching? Do you see this? *SLAPS SELF* That's for me ever doubting you. After sneaking into the playoffs with the 8th seed, Rotterdam has proven to be the top team in Zeta. Keeping everyone on the edge of their seats through the first 2 playoff games, winning both with 35+yd TD passes in the 4th quarter, the Roughnecks claimed the Dublin Cup in dominating fashion putting up over 400yds of total offense while keeping Frankfurt out of the endzone until late in the 4th quarter. Behind the arm of QB Corey Smith, Rotterdam collected nearly 300yds of passing offense while averaging over 11yds per completion. Frankfurt DE Chris Edwards did his best to slow down the arial blitz of Rotterdam, collecting 3 sacks, but the remainder of the traditionally dominant Frankfurt DE corps were held in check by an improving Roughneck OL & the quick release of QB Smith. Next up: Perennial power Woodridge & a chance at the WEPL title.
Game MVP: Rotterdam pass defense. Held Frankfurt under 120yds passing until the long bomb at the end of the game.
Paper Bag Award: Frankfurt QB Jimmy Jimmy Clausen (8/21, 70yds, 1 INT) must have changed his advanced settings to Suck.
I will be posting a review of the WEPL Championship but, as I know jack shit about Woodridge other then the fact they're damn good, I won't be doing a preview.
Sorry again for not getting more of these up through the playoffs but I had a rough weekend taking care of the wife.

, Seriously though, that's one of the few games our Pass Defense has held up that well, i'm glad we came through when we really needed it. And that had to be the funniest paper bag award i've heard all season from you aha
