Here is what I have so far... Any suggestions? Does speed really matter once past the soft cap? Any solid, out of the box input would be great. Everyone knows the whole speed, agility, vision blah blah blah..

speed for a SS is not as important as agility and vision. for the SAs the only ones that matter are change direction, super vision, closing speed, wrap up, and diving tackle. going after a hard hitter is almost worthless and in vain from what i've heard, especially considering that the big hit and monster hit SAs don't do anything

Best way is to make him a "normal" safety, then start to work towards the hard hitting aspect. So get speed, agility, vision up to the soft caps. Then work up strength and tackling, but make sure, he's still able to reach the ball carrier in time.

Some hard hitters don't get to the ball carrier... no use in doing so.
