I just 2SP-capped agility today. What do I focus on next? Do I even bother slow building another attribute like I did with speed and agility? Or would it best to train up jumping/vision/stamina/catching evenly? Should I maybe dump even more SP into agility? I need to know what I should put my equipment in (speed or agility, nothing else, and not both). I removed all my equipment for now so you can get an idea of what I've been laying down as my foundation. Also, my custom equipment is for the speedster tree - should I have it in the possession tree?

3 boosts left:

All I know is I can not catch SHIT right now but I'd better be able to for season 6 (yes, season six. I want my guy to end up better at the expense of immediate results. Keep this in mind when you make suggestions ).

Woah. Whilst you can't catch anything now, your WR is on course to be a great WR. What I'd suggest is when you boost get catching to 30, put the rest of the points in stamina, train vision to 20, then train jumping up quite a bit. Also, put all your equipment in speed and the speedster SA tree.

Stay on target. Keep doing what you are doing just with the next skills. I would recommend catching and jumping personally.

I'd ask for kick return duty and add custom speed equipment. If you see an opening, no one will catch you from behind.

if youre looking to season 6, just raise vision/catching/jumping together so theyre roughly the same amount. you say youre not interested in putting equipment on both speed and agility, but id ask you reconsider. unfortunately, unlike most positions, we no longer have the ability to maximize our equipment by using it in 1 skill, if we want that skill to be speed. youre already 20 natural speed ahead of agility, if you focus your gear on there itll be 38 ahead. thats gonna be a bitch for your acceleration. but i wouldnt recommend putting it all into agility either because then you lose your biggest advantage.

so next season, get vision stamina jumping and catching all ~30. season 6, train strength the whole season, put your confidence up a bit, and keep raising C/J/V around the same amount. next 2 seasons as well, if you have a spare point or two, get up route running and get ready to utilize head fake and juke.

also whatever team you stay/get on, try to get into the wr3 slot for now. it doesnt do much to accent your speed, but itll get you passes you have the ability to catch. and blown coverage will still get you big gains, which with your tertiary stats is all youre going to get in the wr1 or wr2 spot anyhow.

He's OC for his future team so not gonna be a problem

But I would maybe put all equipment on speed while getting agility to next cap .

Later on capping catching and vision would be nice as well as confidence/jumping +30 and maybe also strength +25 or something .

I was just thinking of whoring the equipment into speed and pumping First Step. I mean that was my original plan all along, I wasn't going to have any agility AT ALL, I was just gonna have 8 into First Step (eventually 10), but then Bort made agility essential. Ballsack.
Thanks for the tips though knudlen, I had been wondering if it was worth capping one attribute at a time but I'm unanimously hearing that training up the minors about evenly is the way to go.

yea our builds are pretty similar i think, philosophy wise. Your guy is what i would have done if i had started half a season earlier like you had. I'm just not seeing the advantage of soft capping catching early right now. It just seems to make you able to get to balls you dont have the skills to catch.

Catching, vision, jumping? I don't know. But don't be like this guy(My lol speed receiver in an important play-off game tonight leaving TD's on the table):

Sorry to thread jack, but since this is a pure speed receiver thread, I've been noticing lately that I'm being targeted deep and not catching those passes(Incompl. or drops) and I'm also catching short balls and breaking noticably more tackles than I used to. So here is the question: Work on hauling in the long balls through the catching, vision or jumping path OR recognize that I get more targets/catches on the 6-7 yard passes and thus build up agility and evasion SA's to work on YAC?
