How many of you do it or have done it? Did you find that it was successful in most cases or did you get burned by it?

Blitzing is actually better equipped to stop the run than the pass right now, in my opinion. CB blitzes are great at stopping the outside run, and SS blitzes can be great at stuffing runs up the middle.

Ran this as an experient in our playoff game, 3-4 with both ILB's blitzing. Ran on first down and they averaged 1.7 YPC, second and third they averaged 3+...
(it's a cover 1 as well)
