Just moved him to my buddys team out of the D leagues, where he used to break ~20tackles a games. Now he's averaging about 2. I undestand that the competition is a lot higher levelled, but where do I need to put points to improve?

Physical Attributes Football Skills
Strength: 72.04 Blocking: 12.2
Speed: 17.41 Tackling: 9
Agility: 23.64 Throwing: 12.2
Jumping: 12.2 Catching: 12.2
Stamina: 16.2 Carrying: 26.7
Vision: 17.04 Kicking: 8
Confidence: 14.64 Punting: 8

1 SA in cover up

And 17 speed? Seriously? That strength is no good if you're basically standing still.

lol. Yeah but it was funny in the d's. 6 br tkl runs practically crawling along, the other dots just bouncing off him.

Is carry or speed more important?

Speed is not important.

SAs are.

1. Strength. 2. SAs 3. Carry. = Break Tackle

Speed is extremely important. If you can't build up enough speed, you're not going anywhere. Won't matter if you have 100 strength. If you can't put some motion behind it, it's useless.

Right now, getting your speed up should be your top priority. Then carrying. Agility and vision need some real attention as well.

At level 12, with your major and secondary skills so low, SAs really shouldn't be a top priority.

As for D-league success, very few people are trying to "win" in the D-leagues. I don't apply SP to most of my D-leaguers until I have around 30 to spend.

I agree. Some speed is needed to generate momentum. A HB IS a running back... key word "running".

So I have 10 points to blow after boosting. I say 10 to carry, and carry on training speed. Sound reasonable?

I'm not desperate for success right now. Happy to wait a bit for his build to balance out.

if thats the case just save your sps and train speed/carrying/agility until you have enough points to sofcap whichever one you choose to train

If your team is running 100% inside, go for it. Otherwise, I'd recommend getting your speed up quick, fast, and in a hurry. You don't need to cap speed yet. But I can imagine a back this slow being anything other than a liability.

lol sorta. He picks up some alright breaks. Part of a RB trio at #3RB and #2FB

Also a good idea, especially if you don't care whether or not your team wins.

Well, I see you're the #3 HB and #2 FB. You'll get a lot more snaps at FB than HB, and a FB with 17 speed is a huge liability.

get carry to around 35, then put points into speed

No, this sim uses a lot of physics. momentum = velocity * mass
