Why is this happening, it happens a lot. Like most passes lose us 17yards because a WR seems to be completely free for the pass.

p.s. Im not experienced at this and Ive never GM'd at team before, Im setting up the AI because no one else seems to be bothered to do it on the team (including the owner). SO I have everything to learn..

Heres an example of a typical play that is kiling us.

For #1, first thought, CB has low Agility.

For #2, running 4-3 against a 3 WR set. Great if he always ran from that formation, but since the Offense AI doesn'r have that level of control...

For #3, 4-3 again, plus CB wanted interior receiver. Not sure of story there.

Just my thoughts...

#1 What is the individual tactics used by the CB? The CB's build is open by the way. Not bad!

#2 & #3: you have LB's covering WR's. A WR will beat a LB 90% of the time. Change your input/output to have a nickel defense when there are 3 WR's.

#1 not sure what happened there - maybe a pump fake

#2 and #3 - looks like in both you are playing a 3-4 against a 3WR set, playing either cover 1 or cover 2 - so you only have 3 corners on the field meaning the LB is picking up a WR in coverage
maybe need to set up some defenses to counter for 3 WR sets

just what i thought i saw and what i think
hope it helps

Sounds about right guys, looking at the defence ai set up. Ive altered the input/output accordingly, hopefully it will sort that out. Awesome help guys, thanks.

#1: SS playing CB. Minor penalty, but it's there. Also looks like the WR gave him an okie doke and shook him out of his shorts.

#2: Base 3-4 vs 3 wide set. Not especially advisable. The FS also has a nice (open) build, but it looks like the WR put an okie doke on him too.

#3: Base 3-4 defense with a 2 deep shell against a 3 wide set. That's just easy money for the offense.

Along with the things pointed out above, I'd say the overall lack of pressure on the QB was definately a contributor.

Any guy, given that kind of time, will make a play.
