Today's 52-3 defeat of the Berlin Devine Right saw German Wilddogs QB Willi "Steamin" Beamen achived a career-high QB rating of 139.6 in a 33/40 showing for 380.5 yds & 4 TDs.
Willi has never done so well in a 60 minute stretch, and it was a performance that delighted the fans. After the game, local radio interviewed several excited supporters:
Fraulein Annabelle Schnitzel (21) said, "Mei Gads - Willi is the best! I was breathless for the hole 60 minutes. What a man!"
In a similar vein, Frau Rebecca Milfenrammer (34) said "It was so exciting - Willi get popping those balls all around the place and it seemed like each time he did, they were exactly in the right spot. I was on the edge of my seat all day - I just didn't know what Willi was going to do next!"
As an interesting side note to the story, the Wilddogs Concession stands also had a record-setting day: more hotdogs & foam fingers were sold on Willi's BIG day than ever before. It may be just coincidence, but as soon as we have the demographic analysis of exactly who bought all those goodies, we'll be sure to let you know...
