Does a safety come up on the 3rd WR & which safety is it?

Thanks!

I've seen LB's man up WR3 with the SS on the TE, although this may not always be the case.

Depends on your formation. Do you have something put in for 3+ WR or are you jsut running a base defense? In 4-3 Cover 2 I am pretty sure the OLB to that side will man up on the WR.

I think you have to run a cover 1, shift to strong side and blitz the will and mike. That leaves FB/HB wide open, but puts Sam on the TE, and the SS takes the WR.

I think. I know that I've seen it happen. Normally an LB will take the WR, even in a cover 1, but I've seen the SS do it also.

You'll have your ROLB covering the WR.

Just run nickel.

3-3-5 Not the 4-3Base doesn't help the question any.

secondary responsbilties remain the same in any front 7 setting. That play is a base 3-4 nickel cover ZERO with an ILB blitz. The strong side OLB has no pass coverage responsbility and by bringing the ILB that makes the RB pick him up and frees up the OLB for the sack as the ROG gets caught in the line garbage.
