well in one of our upcoming games, the other teams defense always runs a cover 2 zone on first and cover 2 man2man on 2nd down. ALWAYS.

can somebody tell me what to run to beat them.

Cover 2 usually leaves the middle of the field open, so see if you can pass to the TE.

Yup. This is the way to beat my defense too, if anyone in SEA #1 is reading.

I'm a big fan of cover 2, both in the NFL and in GLB. The basic premise remains the same in both forums: Bend, don't break.

Just don't expect to score a lot with 5 yard passes to the TE all game, but it's easier than running on our D.

Oh, and lol at a team that makes scouting so easy. I always set up my primary play call with a higher percent, then toss in a couple similar calls, or 1 overly aggressive call so that we aren't ridiculously easy to scout.

Your Avril Lavigne obsession is unnerving. Just saying.

But, yeah. Dial up the TE target %. Works like magic.

Deep middle and or flood one side of the field with multiple targets.

You have never seen your TE run a vertical patteren up the middle of the field or how about a 10 yard curl with the WR running the vert.?

This sure looks like a cover 2 with a flood of the short zone and the TE running to the deep middle.

or how about this one.

The point is that you can't predict when those plays will be called.

That is true REAL world football plays are very hard to integrate into this online world. Thats what gives the UBER-nerd a leg up on the football guys. This game still has training wheels when it comes to specific tactics. I have been trying all season to put real football plays in and someone blows a coverage or does not line up right or whatever. You cant take your headphones off and yell to the kid to line up on the hash. You just let the UBER-nerd run his mouth about how to build a perfect saftey.

If you think that's going to change anytime, you should just quit.

The UBER-nerd will always rule online. At the end of the day, GLB is a computer game first, and a football simulation second. You can know everything there is to know about football, but if you don't spend the time to figure out how the math works out, how the game reacts to certain combinations of skills/attributes etc, you will always be a step behind.

It doesn't matter if you're an NFL coach playing GLB. If some kid in his basement puts in 16 hours a day tinkering with stats and stuff on GLB, they're going to be better. Period.

So this is all just a math quiz.
