Very nice. Tonight should start clearing some things a little, but some races, like last season, will be right down to the final day.

Yes this is very exciting. You know in a way it is kind of sad that we will lose teams because of promotion because this has been a lot of fun, but moving up is part of the game.

It is - and all but one of the teams moving down don't look like they'll add much challenge next season. Definitely weakens the league, though at least one of them may have some potential, or someone could go on a recruiting binge.

I suspect Rapid City and NBSK, but then they've been favorites before too.

The playoff picture in the West gets very interesting these last 2 games. Its really anyones game for the 2 3 4 and 5 spots. I'll go ahead and post the schedules and my predictions along with it for the final seeding.

Disclaimer: The following is merely my opinion. If I put your team above another, it doesn't mean I think you suck. Also, I normaly never predict my own games. But, I would like to also predict the seedings, in which case I must predict my own games. To Midwest and Atlanta, please don't think I am disrespecting your teams.

Rapid City Rushmores:
Week 15 @ Anchorage Wolves - Rapid City is the obvious favorite here. I think Anchorage has compiled a solid roster and really improved their team over the course of this season. However, I don't think they will pull it out. Rapid City locks up the #1 seed.

Week 16 @ Houghton Gremlins - Free win. No offense, Gremlins.

Anchorage Wolves:
Week 15 @ Rapid City Rushmores - See above paragraph. Bringing them to 13-2-0

Week 16 @ Miami Hammerheads - While Miami is currently 10-4-0, I do believe they have a stronger roster. I think Miami will pull this one out, bringing Anchorage to 13-3-0.

DVD Talk Otters:
Week 15 @ Death Valley Vikings - This game could really go either way in my opinion. DVD may not have as strong of a starting roster/depth when compared to DV, but they have very solid game planning. In the end, while I can't stand DV, I do think their game planning has improved over the course of this season and I think that will get them the win. I'm thinking Death Valley by 3. Bringing DVD to 12-3-0

Week 16 @ Vice City Mambas - Don't let the Mambas record fool you. They have beaten some tough teams and had some very close games this season. I think this will be a closer game than most will anticipate. But I still think DVD will pull it out. Brining them to 13-3-0

Death Valley Vikings:
Week 15 @ DVD Talk Otters - See above paragraph. Bringing them to 12-3-0.

Week 16 @ New Brunswick Scarlet Knights - This should be a very good game. While I still think DV has the level/depth advantage over them, New Brunswick has very solid game planning as they have proved time and time again (unless its a conference championship that is ). I call NBSK by at least 10. Bringing DV to 12-4-0.

Caprica Buccaneers:
Week 15 @ Midwest Mayhem - I got nothin but love for Midwest, but they have yet to beat us in 2 seasons. Currently 7-7-0, it will be an upset if they pull this one off. I'm predicting the Caprica win, bringing us to 12-3-0.

Week 16 @ Atlanta Wolves - We are definately not going to be fooled by the record on this one. Atlanta has a very strong line up that will not be taken lightly. Based purely on win/loss record, I'm predicting the Caprica win, which will bring us to 13-3-0.

This brings our final top 5 playoff seedings to the following:

Rapid City Rushmores: 16-0-0
Caprica Buccaneers: 13-3-0
DVD Talk Otters: 13-3-0
Anchorage Wolves: 13-3-0
Death Valley Vikings: 12-4-0

Now I could be wrong about the middle 3. The reason I seeded Caprica, DVD and Anchorage the way they are is because I believe in a tie like that it goes to points scored. In which case Caprica currently has 632, DVD is at 476 and Anchorage is at 437. And when I say "a tie like that" I mean we all won and lost to each other. Caprica beat Anchorage but lost to DVD. DVD beat Caprica but lost to Anchorage. Anchorage beat DVD but lost to Caprica. So I think in this case it should go to points scored.

Anyway. There ya have it.

head to head then points scored when its a 3 way tie or more.

As we discovered last season, it starts with head to head. If that doesn't work it goes to best record vs. the opponents in contention if its a 4 or more way tie, then points scored.

ive always hated the points scored tiebreaker
points allowed makes much more sense

points scored being used, hurts teams that have their tactics set not to run up the score against weak opponents
