I want him to be a Pass Rushing DE and i was just wondering if there was anything i'm doing wrong with his build?

I have him set to Evasive Pass Rushing

Yes, leave strength alone and increase speed and agility.

Speed, speed and more speed.

The general consensus seems to be to choose either speed or agility and maximize that ability. Agility will have you take the shortest route to the QB, while speed may take a longer route but you will get there faster.

I've seen a lot of success with builds that focus one both speed and agility. Don't ignore strength completely as it's probably your third most important stat. It will ensure that you don't get pancaked every time you engage in a block.

Your vision is also seriously lacking, but if you want to build in the most efficient way, first hit the soft cap (48 pts) in both speed and agility so that you maximize the points you get in those stats from leveling. (see: any slow build guide)

Train on vision until its at least 25.

Get speed and agility to the soft cap ASAP, focus ONLY on the closest stat until it hits 48, then focus ONLY on the other till it hits 48.

Low strength shouldn't be an issue for a while, you have more than enough right now to hold your own in general.

I also suggest putting all equipment on speed, agility or a combo of the two.

Here's my guy. He has 5 SPs right now, about to level up again, and will level up one more time before the end of the season. Then I will boost.

My plan is to get SPD and AGI both up to 60, which shouldn't be a problem. Then soft capped STR. Then I'll focus on the speed rusher SAs

Why soft cap str?

Prevent pancakes basically.

When I'm turning the corner to slip around the LT, I need some strength so if he gets a hand on me, I don't get knocked down. Or is that a bad idea?

I mean, it's not a bad idea, I just am pretty sure that http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=123897 has less than 30 str. Going by the idea that if the LT never touches you he can't pancake you. I don't know if Bort will let that last though.

Yeah, I don't see Bort letting that last either. I am kind of basing this on realism though. There's always contact, although mostly minimal, when the DE rushes the QB. Ala Dwight Freeney.

Well as of right now, if there is contact the sack possibility pretty much drops away, unless you have some pretty sick coverage over the top.

with him though, if Bort makes STR more important for his type of player, he can easily get STR up really fast.
