Dire Wolves fans can rest easy as the financially failing club has gained renewed hope. A well known local business man, Skyrek, has bought the team. When asked to comment on this aquisition he had this to say, "I grew up on Dire WOlf football. It is a symbol of this great city and it would be a loss for all if it were to vanish."

When questioned about the past scandals and other problems that has plagued the team in recent years the new owner said he would be cleaning house and re-evaluating the current members of the team.

"Do not be surprised if the entire organization is shaken up and many familar faces are replaced by other players more deserving of the chance to make a name for themselves and bring the glory of the championship back home to Chicago."

Any players interested in signing under the new management are encouraged to contact the owner for a chance to play. The Dire Wolves are offering contracts that are representative of the GLBPA. Until a player has proven themselves a true Dire Wolf all contracts offered will be of a one year length, "we are not guaranteeing any starting positions at this time. We will review all the talent on the team and make the appropriate adjustments as the season starts. However, everyone will have the potential to gain the coveted starter positions."
