I would like to start an in depth discussion about HB builds including but not limited to specific skills to work on as well as SAs to focus on and rushing styles that have worked for you. All test builds feel free to post here and everyone is welcome to enhance the discussion. So to start I will talk a little about how I picture each build.

Elusive: Agility and Speed even or way more agility than Speed

Speed: Main Stat is Speed with second stat agility

Power: Main Stat Strength and Carry/Speed/Agility all secondary

So everyone discuss......................................NOW

Power all the way. My elusive back isn't near as good as our teams power back.

For an Elusive, personally I think it's critical to have spd and agi even, this gives you the explosiveness of your speed with the added bonus of your SA's (Quick Cut, Head Fake, and Juke). But that's just my opinion.

Well for elusive your goal is to juke away from the hit while speed you want to run around the hit

What does everyone think of jumping...Bort said it can avoid low arm tackles which could help but is it worth training?

Definitely worth training. I don't know if Bort's said it himself, but I would suspect that it would increase the bonus for the SA Dive for Yardage. Not to mention helping him catch a little better as well.

I'd like to go on record as saying that high strength/ low SA backs need to be henceforth referred to as strength backs and not power backs.

Powerbacks would have high powerback SAs.

This is very similar in nomencalture as the distinction between speed and elusive backs.

I think the all-out dominance we are seeing by power backs this season will decrease by around season 6 or 7 when people finally realise that power backs aren't ridiculously over-powered (no pun intended) and that you do actually need to at least soft-cap tackling for every member of you defense unless you want to see 15+ missed tackles per game when you face a power back. I think once people realise that, elusive and power backs will see around the same level of effectiveness.

Thats wholly impractical.

Softacpping tackling on all the members of the defensive backfield will result in rediculous passing numbers (prehaps thats the real intent).

I expect some sort of nerf/defensive boost to "fix" power and strength backs. This could involve gang tackling, additional slowing down to break tackles, or an alteration to breaking tackles which emphasizes carrying over strength.

DT needs 50+ tackling
DE needs 40+
LB 40+
DB 30+

but DBs need more than 15 strength...Im pretty sure almost every corner in the NFL would have 40 strength in this game

They'd also have 80+ speed.
