How can I be sure that I run a goalline def when the opponent is withing the 5 yard line?

I have my settings at "My 5 yard line and my goaline" and I still find myself in a 4-3 or 3-4 defense many times.

Should I select another input for goalline and set it at "Opponent 5 yard line and opponent goalline?"

First, I would recommend making sure the offense is in a GL formation before running a GL defense. If they're on the 5, and come out in a 3 wide set, and you're in a GL defense, you're hosed.


Second, you're doing something wrong in the AI. What does the tester show?

I can recommend that you restrict the D GL so that it is turned off when the Offence has more the two wr in the redzone.

first, if you are going to implement the goal line D by yardage then it needs to be one of the first inputs in your AI. If its lower on the list then the other input will trigger before reaching the goal line input.

think of the AI like a triangle, the more restrictive inputs need to go at the top and then work your way down.
