This happened alot before the AI switch but I've been away for about a month and wanted to see if anyone figured out how to plug in a zone blitz where you have a LBer blitz and a specific DE drop into coverage. Anybody make any ground on this??

That was mainly an outside run coverage. I'm guessing that Bort has replace those plays as ALL the defensive plays were redesigned.

Yeah, i haven't seen a DE drop into coverage yet this season (and i've watched well over 1,000 defensive replays). My feeling is that in your "underneath coverage" settings in the basic AI, and in your advanced AI, if you are in zone underneath w/ a LB blitzing, the DE on that side should drop into a zone. We have the option of blitzing specific linebackers, why don't we have the ability to drop a specific d lineman into coverage? It would certainly cut down on all the babies throwing short passes to their WRS.

You are not the only one who wants to see/have that as an option in GLB


But, who knows... maybe one day Bort will read these topic and say "Why not". And, then:


".. on 2nd day, Bort invented zone blitz".

I've been told the only way to do it is to essentially have the entire D playing zone, and that just spells disaster.
