Western Conference Standings
1. Cary Carpetbaggers (11-1)
4 games left against playoff hopefuls for the Carpetbaggers. Vancouver, South Texas, Scranton, NY Doom. The South Texas game will be huge as far as seeding for the playoffs go, but Cary can't let their guard down in any of their remaining games. Have the H2H over Honolulu, the Outlaws have the H2H over them.

1. South Texas Thunder (11-1)
Fresh off their first loss of the season, STT have a tough upcoming 3 games before their finale against Tampa Elite. Games against Cary and Honolulu will be big factors in their playoff seeding.

Honolulu also has 3 remaining games against Western Conference playoff hopefuls, facing Omaha and Elite Sea Team before a huge showdown with South Texas. Honolulu no longer controls their own destiny as they'll need someone to knock off the Carpetbaggers to regain the top spot.

4. Houston Outlaws (9-3)
Houston has games against Vancouver and Riverside left, but other than that has 2 cupcakes. Houston is going to need a lot of help to move up in the standings, but they do own H2H over Cary. If they don't take care of business they could easily move down a couple spots and lose their home game.

5. Kansas City Wiz (8-4)
Remaining Schedule: Bay Area, Springfield, El Paso, St. Louis

Lost: Omaha, Cary, Honolulu, South Texas
Beat: Elite Sea Team, Scranton, Houston, Riverside, Vancouver

Kansas City holds virtually all of the H2H tiebreakers among potential playoff teams. They need some help to move past Houston, but with their easy schedule should just about be a lock for at least the 5th seed.

5. Elite Sea Team (8-4)
Remaining Schedule: Cary, Honolulu, Omaha, NY Knights

Beat: El Paso, Vancouver, Riverside
Lost: Scranton, South Texas, Houston, Kansas City

Elite Sea Team has a potentially murderous end of season schedule with Cary, Honolulu and Omaha. They will most likely only need to win one of their remaining games to make the playoffs.

7. Omaha Shockers (7-5)
Remaining Schedule: Honolulu, Elite Sea Team, El Paso, Charlotte

Beat: Kansas City, Scranton, Riverside
Lost: South Texas, Houston, Vancouver, Cary

Omaha has a tough road to go and will most likely need to win two of their remaining games to make the playoffs. The game planning blunder against the Avengers is looming large in the eyes of the Shockers as it could end up making or breaking their season.

7. Scranton Tunas (7-5)
Remaining Schedule: Vancouver, Riverside, Cary, Cleveland

Beat: El Paso, Elite Sea Team
Lost: South Texas, Houston, Kansas City, Omaha, Honolulu

Scranton has two huge games coming up vs Vancouver and Riverside and will need to win 1 or both games as they are both nipping at the Tunas heels. Games against Cary and Cleveland aren't going to be a walk in the park either.

9. Vancouver Lions (6-6)
Remaining Schedule: Scranton, Houston Outlaws, Houston Panthers, Palmyra

Beat: Omaha, Riverside, South Texas
Lost: El Paso, Kansas City, Cary, Honolulu, Elite Sea Team

The Lions have a HUGE game against Scranton in week 13. They can only afford to lose 1 more game and it can't be against Scranton as there is a good chance they'll need that tiebreaker in order to get into the playoffs.

9. Riverside Renegades (6-6)
Remaining Schedule: South Texas, Scranton, Houston Outlaws, Miami Carniceros

Beat: El Paso
Lost: Omaha, Cary, Elite Sea Team, Honolulu, Kansas City

Riverside hasn't really beaten anyone and unless they can win 3 of their remaining games won't have much of a chance making the playoffs. The Scranton game is a must win for them along with either South Texas or Houston. Riverside has a lot of work left to do.

10. El Paso Bandits (5-7)
Remaining Schedule: Springfield, Omaha, Kansas City, Virginia

Beat: Vancouver
Lost: Honolulu, South Texas, Elite Sea Team, Scranton, Riverside, Cary, Houston

El Paso really has no chance unless they win out, which will be nearly impossible for them with Kansas City and Omaha left on the schedule. They'll need a lot of help and most likely a lot of luck to have any chance at the playoffs. One loss should just about eliminate them.


How I See Things Shaking Out:
1. Honolulu Warriors (15-1)
2. Cary Carpetbaggers (14-2)
3. South Texas Thunder (13-3)
4. Houston Outlaws (13-3)
5. Kansas City Wiz (12-4)
6. Elite Sea Team (10-6)
7. Vancouver Lions (9-7)
8. Omaha Shockers (8-8)
9. Scranton Tunas (8-8)
10. Riverside Renegades (7-9)
11. El Paso Bandits (7-9)

South Texas get the 3 seed based on H2H with Houston and Omaha get the 8th seed based on H2H with Scranton. Should be a helluva fight for the last 3 playoff spots. Elite Sea Team vs Omaha Lightning and Scranton vs Vancouver Lions are the two games that I see being the biggest (Besides STT vs Honolulu and Cary)

You forgot the game of the year Ho playbook vs Springfield meltdown.

I expect you guys to be going for 200.

Nice breakdown, and I think you're dead on about our prospects. 3rd straight season in the playoffs, and 3rd straight season not able to crack the top 4 and get some host money. Doh!

The remaining games with the top 4 should be fun to watch, as well as the fight for the last spots!

Wow! What a dogfight for the top 4 in the West! I think the Wiz have a good chance at sneaking up and taking that last spot!

The Baggers and STS both control their own destiny, although the Baggers have a BRUTAL schedule remaining.

scranton beats vancouver, and they jump from 9 to 7, and omaha is out. I think the rest is basically a lock - sea team can afford to go 1-3 and still win tiebreaker on the 6 which is nice. Yet ANOTHER STT matchup looks likely, but I can see STT holding on to 2nd as well.. The top 3 will be interesting to see play out.

Have you looked at Scranton's depth lately?

I could see that playing a factor down the stretch as those guys will get basically no rest since they have no backups.

I think vancouver is underrated by a lot of people in BBB9

With new management in place, the Lions are looking better with each game. They made a statement win against the Shockers but really need knock off a top tier team. They still have the Warriors, Outlaws and Thunder to go, look for them to pull the upset against one of them.

I think they could be due for a second upset. I'm just glad the Baggers got by them with the W!

I also agree with you with regards to Scranton's depth, particularly on defense. Deep teams like the Warriors, Baggers and Thunder will just eat them alive later in the game. Heck, look at their game with the Wiz. A tale of two halves.

You may want to lower your expectations just a bit. There is always the chance Cary drops their last two, but beating a boosted (starters only) STS team is pretty impressive.
