RBBC or workhorse for running backs in GLB?

Please don't make 'hook' threads. Rule #1: http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=756411
Can you clarify? What is a 'RBBC or workhorse'?

Please think about hooks next time you post thing slike this.
Anyway, please clarify what you mean. Between Nixx and myself I'm sure we can help.

What the fuck is a hook thread?
Anyway, RBBC means running back(s) by committee. My answer would be to analyze your halfbacks' strengths and weaknesses, especially with regard to the perceived strengths/weaknesses of your opponent.
Do you have three speed backs or a mix? Has energy been a concern? Do you have a power back that can loosen up the front seven early on?

Hook threads are when you lure someone into a topic by finish your sentence within the thread.
I have a trio workig on all my teams. Powerback, Elusive, and Combo. they all work well no matter how you run at this stage in time, assuming a good Oline and good builds vs. equal to close competition.

There's a rule for that?! Jesus, I am glad to see I've spent over a few hundred dollars so the children can have their Godwin-inspired moderated playground. Ugh. I guess I am the only old fogie (at the ripe age of 29) that wishes for a place where anyone can voice their opinion - in their own way - without any censorship and your posts will be judged by your peers. I really need to create a GLB USENET group.
Anti-fascist rant aside, let me ask a question of a similar vain. Do you believe that a power back has a more of an effect on the defense's stamina than an elusive one?

Yes, going into contact with higher str players drains you faster on Line...theoretically it transfers.
Anyway the hook thread thing is in place for something like...
"Where can I..."
Find a place blah blah blah
or
"If I can do this with this player then..."
It isn't realistic!
Get it?

Oh, well, those should be titled under "Morons."
- No morons posting.
You'll have to forgive me as I have an extremely negative opinion of moderated forums; even moreso on a PAY website. But, I am a nerd and do not suffer Internet fools lightly, a curmudgeon of sorts. So that's my drawback.
On topic, to the OP, if you have a talented power back, perhaps you can start that guy and set the auto-sub rather high. Then, you can let your elusive back run amok. Personally, I've never encountered a problem with our backs suffering late in the game due to energy. They are either running circles around people or getting shut down right from the start.
Of course, committees work best if you have players who need to play or they'll start stomping their feet.

His whole question would have fit into the topic, so why not do that instead of making it a hook thread? Would get more useful replies because people could see what the question is actually about before clicking to open the thread.
I'm older than you, and I don't like morons or 'internet fools' either, which is why people should try to follow the rules. It's not that hard.
As for the original question, now that I know what RBBC is...฿ones pretty much has it right. Things can work whichever way you do it. You will probably want a backup for your HB though, so maybe the 'workhorse' idea isn't perfect.
The problem with RBBC in GLB is that you can't choose who is in for what plays (except for some situations, like forcing starters on 3rd/4th downs, in the red zone, or with a certain amount of time left). Eventually we might get formation based subs which will help.

Maybe it was my "upbringing" on BBC's, Q-Link, and usenet where it is completely survival of the fittest. Also, I'm a Libertarian. :0
As for RBBC, you can always jack the aut-sub to 90 or so. That would solve that problem somewhat but, as you said, it will be a committee but you have no say over who the chairman is at any point.

You mean BBS?
Back when I was about 10 we ran one on a C-64, and I was co-SYSOP. Those were the days!

Ha, yes! Not the channel.
Ah, the C64. I miss those days. My favoirte memory was cutting the other side of the floppy to make it writeable and then copying a bunch of shit onto that side, too.
