Borrowing a computer for a bit while people are out of the house, and not seeing predictions for this week, I figured I'd give these games a shot:
Sioux Falls Storm vs. Rapid City Rushmores
After passing one of the biggest tests of the season last game, if this were real life football, this would be the ideal time for them to get caught looking past someone and fall on their faces. Sioux Falls isn't a bad team.
However, Rapid City will find a way to motivate their dots for this one, and ride their undefeated streak at least through Anchorage now - but this will probably be the toughest one til then.
Anchorage Wolves vs. Ivalice Tacticianers
This is not where Ivalice will break their winless streak.
Honolulu Red Devils vs. San Diego Silver Shock
The Shock picks up a much needed win here.
Midwest Mayhem vs. Uncle Sam's Misguided Children
An interesting fight between the West's #7 and #8 teams. Midwest could move up a spot, while losing would give Chicago an opening to steal their playoff positioning. USMC also has a chance to move up with Sioux Falls facing Rapid City, and falling to #8 if they lose with Chicago looming.
With both teams very motivated here, I think USMC has made the bigger strides towards the top end of the conference, and they win this one.
Chicago Maroons vs. Pittsburgh Highlanders
Chicago moves back into the playoff picture with a win here.
DVDTalk Otters vs. Caprica Buccaneers
This is a HUGE game for both teams. The winner stays right in the race for #2. Caprica has a fair chance of not losing again if they come out of this one with a victory. In the game of the week, I think DVDTalk ekes out a victory, but it'll be close.
Death Valley Shadowblades vs. Rocky Mountain Thunder
Death Valley beats the Thunder in this one.
San Jose SkyForce vs. WCBW Vikings
The bye week runs roughshod over the SDkyforce this week.
Detroit Outlaws vs. Michigan Rage
Detroit catches a break here and has a big win before hitting one of the most unforgiving 4 game stretches in the East this season. Enjoy it while you can.
Miami Makos vs. Salem Cyber Hawks
Salem found its defensive rhythm last week, and pulled itself right up to the edge of getting a home game. Win this one, and the 3 or 4 spot is entirely likely. That said, I think the Makos prove a little too much for the Hawks as they fight to hang on to their own home game, but this ought to be a great game.
Atlanta Wolves vs. Vice City Mambas
This is a BIG game for both teams. Atlanta almost needs this one to stay in the playoff hunt. Not desperation time yet, but getting there. Vice City solidifies its position with a win.
Ultimately, I think Vice City sneaks away with one, but not by more than a score or two.
Akron Browns vs. South Texas Skull Crushers
Even at half strength, Akron still has more than enough to win this game.
Scranton Wilkes-Barre Menzingers vs. Gulf State Demons
See the V.C.-Atlanta game for analysis. Except that, for a playoff spot to have any realistic chance, Scranton really does need this one, even with a winnable schedule the rest of the way, though Memphis and LV will both be looking for the upset wins. Gulf State is in need of some breathing room. Between two quality, very motivated teams, I give this one to Gulf State.
Houghton Gremlins vs. Memphis Showboats
Memphis gets the Gremlins right before NBSK, then has some interesting matches as they try and finish on a high note. The Gremlins are improving, and next season should be where Memphis is now - rarely the favorite, but you have to plan for them, and they may just grab an upset or two. Memphis should win this one.
New Brunswick Scarlet Knights vs. Las Vegas High Rollers
This is not the week where LV picks up an upset. NBSK rolls.
