This is probably one of the stupidest threads produced by the east so far this season. Practically all of the east, including Michigan, have dismal, or at best mediocre, records vs the West. Can someone please find a team in the top half of the east with a winning record against top half of the west, or even the west in general???
Better yet.. i'll do it.. and for those of you wondering "how come there's only 1 game listed for some teams" Well.. in some cases there's a perfectly reasonable explanation like "they weren't in the league at the time".. for a few, its because the players they had at the time are no longer on the team (a testament to their quality no doubt). For the rest.. the S3 week 16 games seem to be missing at times. I think maybe when teams move up the game no longer adds their games to the list, as they are no longer in the same conference....this is inconsistent though.
Edit: By my own rationale.. i can't include the W vs the
1 Michigan Panthers 10-0-0 W10
W19-20 (vs Round Rock)
L23-25
2 Murder City Devils 9-1-0 W5
No week 16 game on record (not in league)
Couldn't find week 16 game on record
3 Maryland Iron Maidens 8-2-0 W6
L0-68
L16-10
4 Carson City Cubes 7-3-0 L1
No week 16 game on record (roster retooled)
Couldn't find week 16 game on record
5 Milwaukee Fire 7-3-0 L1
W7-31 (vs Miranda)
6 Seattle Reign 6-4-0 W1
L10-37
L26-21
7 Columbus Buckeyes 6-4-0 W1
L14-27
L13-10
8 Megatropolis Tigers 6-4-0 W1
L30-13
9 Pontiac War Kittens 6-4-0 L1
L24-0
That, Eastern Conference... is your starting lineup in regulation games (as in the ones that count) vs the West. One win vs a good team & one win vs a not so good team & a whooooole lotta losses. Even if the games that are missing were all wins you still wouldn't be .500 vs the west. Flip those L's around to W's & that is the Wests record.. 2 losses to the current #1 & the current #5, i.e. playoff calibur teams. Ergo, the West only loses to the best (or better) teams in the west, whereas the East can seemingly easily lose to almost any team in the west at any given time.
At this point, the east can resume the seemingly endless list of excuses why losing almost all the time makes you better than the teams that beat you.. or gravy training on a team that's no longer in the conference (which is why Orlando & Cleveland & Canton aren't included) & touting them as an reason why the teams still in the conference are any good. (mind you the teams remaining obviously didn't beat those teams very often either)
EDIT: By my own logic, i have to remove the win vs Round Rock.. so there goes teh East best win vs the west..
