Why double post?

No Returns and even Touchbacks would be nice stats for GLB to actually track. But I'm not sure that those stats alone are an accurate way to declare supremacy. A no return also needs to take into account the coverage team. Poor tackling can turn the best efforts into much smaller net yardage, potentially tainting the no return stat a bit. Likewise, a poor return man that is unable to properly field the kick is going to skew the numbers in the punter's favor. A team with a really fast and effective coverage guy could probably tilt the scales toward the punter as well. Touchbacks and overall average can also be misleading stats, since they also can be impacted by outside forces that the punter can't control. Naturally, if you have a poor offfense that consistently forces you to punt from your own 20-30 yard line, touchbacks will be severely minimized, while average has a chance to go through the roof. Likewise, if your team consistently reaches near midfield or better before punting, there is much more chance for alot of touchbacks, but the short field will minimize your average.

I think analyzing coffin corner kicks out of bounds when/if they become available would be a better skill indicator than just no returns. Kicks that land inside the redzone, or perhaps even deeper within say the 10 yard line could be a good indicator as well, but you then get back to the argument of where the ball was being kicked from in the first place.

Why touchbacks? How about how many punts inside the 20 or something.
