I just wanted to cordially say thank you to all of my teammates for being there for me during the season. I never made a formal announcement to those guys really congratulating them, but they are the reason why this team was able to go as far as they have come. They took the time to put together good builds for their players and listen to any advice that I could give. Without them being open minded about some of the ideas I was wanting to bring to the table, none of this would of ever happen.

I would also like to give a thanks to TJ Spikes our Co-GM of the Mustangs and Manager of our Calgary Stampede team. He was a big help to both teams with helping myself with some of the daily routines needed and another voice of reason within the clubhouse to help make my game time decisions a lot easier. TJ, I may have never said it enough to you last season, but thanks for all of your help. Can't wait to make another title run with you man!

I'd kind of like to see your trades. I've heard some things about questionable tactics, and was wondering if it was true.

I think it's bogus that you... as a moderator, would be using your other team as a "farm" team. It's definately bending the rules. And, it looks like you're going to continue your ways. That's a HUGE BOGUS trade you have pending tonight.

Pete Speedy

Kobe Egan

This trade should be stopped... the Canadian team downgrades at every single position, and gives up difference making players for CPU bums. I wouldn't be suprised if the Canadian team is sending a boat load of cash too!!!!

THIS CRAP HAS TO STOP! UNFAIR TRADES WILL RUIN THE LEAGUE!

One team gives up arguably their best 7 players for three CPU players and 4 downgrades? Come on... can we alert someone here?

um why?
Because it's in the rules to allow a farm team

Ok... so, I can have two teams, trade ALL of team A's money and best players to team B, and there's nothing wrong with that? It doesn't give someone an unfair advantage?

Well personally I think Damazin is whining and this type of crap needs to be dealt with privately with Bort and DD, but Serenity's response is incorrect if indeed that trade is going down as stated (we don't have access to exactly who is being traded though so I think it's unfair to assume that).

The trade page says specifically:

NOTE: Trades may be reviewed at any time. If you perform a series of trades with the express purpose of depleting one team to build up another, your team could receive a fine or be taken away.

If it is indeed as outlined like Damazin says then it certainly meets that criteria. I'm not really sure where the line is though as it's not spelled out clearly. This is something that needs to be outlined clearly I think.

But as I said, I think damazin is whining, I was actually going to come in here and congratulate Tim and his team, and I personally don't have a problem if he is making these trades, they are his teams and if his players agree to the trades then I think he has every right, it's simpler than him having to release them all and resign them.

Not sure why people can't mind their own business or at least deal with these types of issues in a more respectful manner instead of turning it into a big witch hunt.

LOL... Tim attracts controversy like Serenity attracts 15 year old netboys!

Congrats, Tim. Championship well-earned! *coughploostercough*

That says otherwise.

Well... I may sound like I'm whining, and don't mean to. Infact, it doesn't affect me one bit. I'm on a team in AAA Eastern Europe. However, I have read/heard of some shady deals, that affect the integrity of the game. When I saw Tim's post, I recognized the name. I looked at his two teams, and they both have those players pending trades... like I said to start off, "I'd kind of like to see your trades."

I think everyone should be able to see what a pending trade includes.

Also, this was the only thread I found about farm teams...

http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=79538

Says they'll be set up soon.

Only thing that bugs me is I think if you had an issue you could have chosen a different manner of addressing it. Tim was coming here to congratulate and thank his team. This isn't the place to address this issue.

Congratulations Mustangs on winning the top league in GLB.

I'm sorry for starting this Tim and Serenity... I will bow out. Devin's view of the mods is not mine, and I see I should've handled this differently.

The one team limit was put in place recently so that someone who already owns a team can't purchase the new ones about to be released. The normal rule is that you can't own two teams in the same region.

Look, this is a thread where Harper is publicly congratulating those who contributed to a title in the toughest league in GLB. It isn't the place to advance agendas. PM Bort, DD, or Tim himself if you have something to say.

Tim, congrats on winning the title. I'm sorry I didn't get to scheme a defense for you, but I'll get my shot sometime in S2.
