Season 3 was pretty decent
63 receptions
608 yards
38 yards per game
3 TD's
1 Drop

season 4 is starting out horribly. after 7 games
14 receptions
122 yards
17.5 per game
0 TD's
4 Drops

I don't know what happen but i've fallen off the face of the earth...it can't be # of plays cause i'm near the top out of all the receivers. we are a running team, but we were a running team last year. Is it my build?

STR 40.13 BLK 30.33
SPD 54.97 TCK 13.76
AGI 33.86 THR 10.00
JMP 14.38 CTH 58.13
STM 33.03 CAR 18.98
VIS 40.13 KCK 7.00
CON 15.76 PNT 8.00
Blocking skill tree 2-1-1-1-0
Receiving skill tree 5-3-3-2-2

my thought next is to get agility up to softcap and work confidence. what do you guys think?

A TE is an extremely hard build depending on what you want him to do. As a receiver he needs speed, agility, catching and strength at the soft cap, with vision and jumping added in. The first 4 should be at the soft cap WITHOUT equipment added in, the others at no less than 30.

In regards to this season I am seeing similar issues with my level 28 TE, so it must be a Bort thing.

Your team also needs to throw to him in order to get the stats you want.

Is your team utilizing you? What string TE are you? Are your competing WRs built for carrying or receiving? It might matter if the possession WRs are getting those medium distance passes and you aren't.

How many times are you thrown to a game? Is your team doing well in the passing game or do they spend most of their offensive plays on the ground?

I have a LB that I believe is built outstandingly, but because he plays ROLB - I see half the action that the MLB/LOLB see. It sucks, but that's kind of how it goes.

It looks like you need speed/agility/vision all up to the soft cap. Do that and you should be on the right track.

Focus on getting your main attributes to the soft cap so that you can benefit from those .5/level bonuses on main attributes and focus on your SA tree and see bigger gains with a better supporting cast of skills...

Who knows what will do the trick - Hell, look at Vernon Davis - the kid is a freak of nature...but you wouldn't be able to tell that by his football stats in the NFL.

I really think the tweaks they made have affected the TE spot in a negative way. I was averaging 100 yards a game and a TD per game last year. This year I am averaging like 70 yards, and I have less TDs.

So, in other words...TEs are performing the way they are supposed to this year.

100 yards a game for a TE?

Are you going to sit here and tell me that's normal?

For the Few Elite TE's.. YES!!! These were consistent big time TE numbers...

Now this season numbers for the TE has declined... The only way to pad your stats is to play a scrub team and pass to the TE 100%

I look towards averages per catch this season... something like 8 catches 79-80 yards is amazing for a TE.. or 2 catches 24 yards... Its the Bort Bug and we just got accept it..

Yes, exactly. At lvl 30, I consider myself one of the Elite TE's in this game. I expect myself to get around 100 yards everygame, but this season I have not been. I usually get 5-6 receptions for 70 yards each game. I average about 14 YPC, which is actually UP since last year, but I am just not getting as many passes my way.

Your team can focus on different targets - has the AI changed that this season or was that available last season with the old AI?

I guess what you should do is study games from last year if that is possible and compare that to this season.

If your team's QB has 2 WRs as his favorite targets, your effectiveness will definitely go down.

I guess when I made that remark about TEs earlier in this thread, I was comparing to real world stats.

To say that you're an elite TE and should be getting 100 yards a game isn't out of the question, but you've got to find out if your passed to ratio has changed at all from last season. In my experience I haven't seen my TE any less open than he was.

I have heard a similar gripe on the WR front as well - so you guys aren't the only ones complaining about stats receptions/yardage/tds/etc...

Also, to say that your YPC has gone up completely contradicts your complaint on stats.

it was mentioned before that carrying was going to be a factor in receivers this year for yardage after being touched - TEs are not excluded.

???

Last Season: 84 rec 805 yds 10 td's 9.6 ypc
This Season (Projected): 46 rec 584 yds 6 td's 12.7 ypc

Yards Per catch up, overall stats down significantly.

Same with me. My YPC are up by about a yard, but I am not getting as many receptions, yards, or TDs.

Same here...

A lot of my huge stat paddin games last season came from scrub teams were I could run over every defensive player...
Now With the new additions such as cruise control my guy run block midway the 2nd quarter for the rest of the game...

These is a relality of the Game this season...

My dude does show up for crucial games like same lvl players and decent tactic teams.. But He no longer gets those 100+ yards and 3 TD games...

Another reason is WR's for the last 3 seasons have been pumping speed... now with the sudden change to agility its apparent that WR's should not get the ball if their agility and vision is not at the soft cap... It takes out possible consistent +10 yardgains from the TE.. Cause TE's can always get open in the middle... If they got the build to back it up!!

Oh I can get open. I have 75 speed, and 49 agility, but I am not getting the passes my way. I am mean, 5-7 receptions a game, but just not where I was at last year when I was getting 8-9 it seemed like.

Haha, as I say this, I had a huge game. Still only 6 catches, but I had 128 yards and 2 TD.
