I am going to put all my equip upgrades into speed at 24. Where should I go with the 5 points. Currently training strength, as I think this is why he can't ever break any tackles.

Strength: 7.99 Blocking: 10.4
Speed: 73.95 Tackling: 10
Agility: 49.43 Throwing: 8
Jumping: 30.36 Catching: 41.76
Stamina: 31.27 Carrying: 24.65
Vision: 40.25 Kicking: 7
Confidence: 23.25 Punting: 10

Posses.

1 1 1 1 0

Speed

2 2 2 2 1

Where do I go next?

I'd say just train strength and blocking for a while don't dump SP's into them. After that your guess is as good as mine.

I'd do one of two(three) things:

1. Get catching closer to the soft cap (the earlier you cap it the more beneficial it is)

Or

2. Put 2 points into first step to suppliment your high speed/medium agility (equalize top speed to acceleration) and 1 point into route running (an all around bonus to your style of WR)

(3.)If you have Custom Equipment in the speedster tree, my advice on the second option changes to putting 3 points into first step.

The latter will probably benefit you more quicker, but the first is likely a better idea anyway.

Yeah, just put all 5 points from 23 into catching. Have noticed more drop this year then in the past. I do have CE in Speedster tree. I can almost be at softcap on next level with catching. Then after that it should only take 1 point roughly to get at softcap, so I can use option 3, at 25.

Not a bad idea at all. I sense that first step would really help a build like yours.

But more catches are always welcome.

Maybe, I should do 3 into catching at 24. Then 2 into First step, since it will take 2 points to raise it one, and do this at 25 the same. Will get my catching at softcap at the same time, and benefit my speed better.

If these numbers include your CE, it'll take 1 point currently to raise first step by 1, and 2 the following skill raise, which is why I said 3 raises for 5 points.

Unfortunately there's no way to both reach the cap and raise first step by 3 at level 25 since you get 10 points. You're 6 from the soft cap on catching at 24, and it'll take 5 points to raise first step by 3. You could, I suppose, raise first step by 2, and route running or quick cut by 1. Or throw the extra point into vision, getting it closer to the cap as well since you're already close.

It will still be very close with catching, could just take one point from it, have it within percentage points away from softcapping, and still get the 3 points in First Step

Am I correct on that? Does that sound like the best way too go. Hoping to get him signed by a Pro Team for season 5.

Yeah, but the benefit to actually capping it comes from the points you get every level to your WR, .3 for your "major skills" and .5 for your "minor skills". The sooner you cap a skill that recieves this bonus per level, the sooner those points are attained over the cap without you having to spend more points afterward, which would essentially make them worth twice as much since it costs twice as much to raise them after that point.

It's a minor difference, but I believe every little bit counts.

Yeah. So you would say best route is Max Catching to 48, which would be 6 points, then 3 total points into First Step, which then would leave me at 1 point left, and just throw it into vision, strength, carrying, something else?

Yeah, but I wouldn't put it into strength.

Vision, jumping, carrying, quick cut, or route running
^ any of those would be my suggestion

I say not strength for only one reason: it's so low that you can train it up one point in probably 2-3 days, while it's impossible to train an SA (I wish), and in order to train your vision for instance, it'd take maybe a week and a half. lol

Alright, that is what I am currently training strength. I think putting it into an SA sounds best personally. Especially route running.

No problem. I know it sucks to have no one answer, or at least not consider the content of their answer for more than 10 seconds before posting it.

Good luck with your build, it seems pretty solid.
