I'm selling the team back and buying a USA team in the lower leagues when I can. Too much for me and no results I worked my ass off to make us competitive and I've been behind the 8 ball since I started. Good luck to all I've met some cool people in USA PRO. My players will be getting traded to teams of their choice as I will be selling for cash, for the new owner. Thanks

if you REALLY want to help out the new owner, keep your players there til the end of the year so that he has some time to build a team.
don't give him fantasy dollars and pat yourself on the back like you're doing him a favor, because you're not.
hopefully, this isn't because of our posts in the other thread. we were just busting your balls

Ummm...I'm sorry.
I didn't mean those harsh words that I said.
You're a cool guy, Since we were done playing y'all, I just wanted to try and wake you guys up a bit so that you'd beat some of our competition.

In the end it's not fair to my players to keep them on the team. The main reason I'm doing this is because we just can't keep up with the rest of the league and I'm tired of trying I'd rather build from the ground up instead of doing patchwork maintenance to stay in USA PRO. It's a done deal and while I'm sorry to the new owner it is my players that deserve to go where they want. Cash may not help alot but it's all I can do.

it's completely fair to your players...they agreed to contract
here's what you do -- offer everyone a contract that ends on day 40 of this season...that way they can opt out at the end.
that's fair to the players AND to the new owner.

Okole knows what he's talking about.
Let's not make the west look like the east.
Give the new guy at least a shot.
I am on a Canadian Pro team that is in it's 2nd season of rebuilding. We're 0-5. It sucks to lose and lose and lose. No one wants to come to your team. It doesn;t matter what you offer them.
I know how hard it is to recruit. I sent out 200+ PM's and 400+ offers.
I signed maybe 2 guys.
Unless this guy already has a team and a crew of friends...who all happen to have high level players, he has NO SHOT.

Okole's right. At least then the new owner has a shot to put together a team while if the players don't like it, they can get out at the end of this season.

that's the way it SHOULD work, but when a team gets sold, it's time for the good old "auto-relegate" button to get clicked.

I thought BSB was built through gutting... funny. 'do what I say but don't do what I do'

From a "good of the game" standpoint, Okole's right.
But let's be real: nothing that Shagg has said is against the rules, there's tons of precedent for this kind of pseudo-gutting in this very league, and every time something like this comes up you'll get 30 people squealing about how "it's the fair thing to do ! think of the players' rights! wah!"
Can't really justify stopping the Novas fromdoing something so many other teams have done.
It does suck, however.

Just taking 2mins to scan the team, a couple of folks like JoeSacto and LionsFaninCali make up a pretty darn good core. Team leadership could likely come from within.
I'd just hate to see a team go down the ~dumps~ (edited for politeness) with alot of the pieces in place...even if they likely will bite me in the arse.
