No1 ever seems to discuss confidence in this forum but in other places people think its super important. Is it worth training over 20? I think not.

Not for CB's, unless you get burned deep a lot. I'd rather save points for speed, to not get burned deep to start with

With CB's you have a lot more plays that affect confidence, bot positivly and negativly, then do the other positions, so overall it balances out more and you are better off putting your points in the other areas to begin with.

if i think about it conceptually, and not just about the numbers, i think it would depend on the type of coverage a cb plays. if a cb plans on playing very tight, very aggressive man coverage, looking for picks, then i'd think that confidence would be very important. if he's giving bigger cushions (or even moreso if playing zone), then confidence wouldn't seem as valuable.
that would be my thinking for real cb's...who knows if that follows here

Confidence is the single most underrated skill in all of GLB .
Train that up there , at least 30+ IMHO .

Confidence seems like a good important idea in theory.
I don't really know what I'm doing though, which is why my CB has 16 confidence...

He is also slower than almost any WR he covers. To be honest I think he uses magic to cover WR's... 41 INTs looks pretty though, right? lol

Nah , that's too low , sorry .
But yeah you're right , it seems pretty important for a CB , or any part of the D really .

why is confidence important? I know that some people like it but I would like a discussion of why. I personally have my confidence at 17ish and I dont really notice a drop in his play when he gives up a catch or two. I play close coverage with medium interception rate. I dont usually get interceptions and usually give up like 3 catches a game with a few PDs.
You would think that this type of CB, a shutdown CB, would need it a lot more than interception machines because you never really do anything spectacular. But then the offense really never does much spectacular on you...usually jus gets like a 10yard catch once in a while.
