Carrying, Strength, and Stamina.

Stamina will help because if you have a lot of stamina, at the end of the game you won't get as tired. The more tired you are the more likely you are to fumble.

Don't forget you can always put a couple points in the Cover Up SA as well.

My elusive back is having major fumble troubles, 9 fumbles in 5 games, leads the league in lost fumbles. I level up after tonights training and am thinking of just going +5 into carrying. It's at 36 at the moment, strength is 30, stamina is 39. So we'll see how 41 carrying goes!

It also has the added benefit of helping to break tackles =)

It's odd....lots of people complain about fumbling problems when they have much higher carrying and strength than I do....

I have carrying at 32, 22 strength and no cover up points and I only fumble two or 3 times a season if that.

I have a sneaky feeling a lot of it is luck?

A lot of it has to do with the competition you are facing.

There is no "luck" in this game. There is no "luck" when it comes to numbers, and that's all GLB is.

There's a lot of luck - if by luck you mean chance and probability.

That is, your stats may give you more of a probability to win a contested roll than another player, but your dice roll may be so low, that even the worse build will win.

To put it in real life terms:

Suppose you roll 4 six sided dies and an opponent rolls 1 six sided dice.

It's possible for all your dice to come up with just 1, totaling 4.

It's also possible for your opponent to roll a 5 with just one dice.

So even though you had the advantage in dice number (i.e. the "better build"), with "luck" the worse guy could beat you.

My strength is slightly less than 20, carrying is 27 ish and i have 2 points into cover up. The competition I face is a few lvs higher than me. I rarely fumble. I do come off the bench though, so I'm assuming I'm always fresh. Maybe stamina does play a larger roll in it?

i dont think stamina is that big of a roll
i fumbled more last season and i didnt get the ball nearly as much
now i get 20-30 carries a game and have 70 stamina at the end and have 1 fumble

but then again i didnt really do anything to stop last seasons fumbling it just stopped >.<

Yeh that's what I meant. I believe the attributes influence it but don't completely control it. I think that when we get to the stage with people having carrying of 60-70-80 then there will be more noticbale difference. As in madden, you notice a difference between players with carrying of 70/80 but it wouldn't be noticable in players with carrying 30/40....

Yep Simpo, all you can really do is improve your chances.

Although my HB has had 0 fumbles so far this season - I'm thinking cover up gives you a huge bonus.

fumbles are still random..

I have 70str 40 carry 5 in cover up

teammate has 23 str 24 carry 2 in cover

i have 3 fumbles, he has 0

Don't bother trying to figure it out
