But something sticks out. We won the game but I'm wondering how this could possibly happen. D-Mac somehow manages to break so many tackles from players who have decent at worst tackling abilities:

Call it what you wish, but something doesn't seem quite right with this IMO.

It was, you're right. I had to fix the post. Still I'm wondering why this happened, just seems a bit strange.

Well judging by his scouting bar he is probably a power back, which seems to be the norm now a days

I don't think the sim is "trying to screw me" specifically. I think there may be some flaws though, overall.

It doesn't "remind me" of anyone.

Possibly, but in the past two seasons we have faced some pretty darned good backs and nothing like this has ever happened before. As I said, many of the players who he "broke" are quite capable in the tackling department...yet..?

well my capped team has a power back who averages 2.5 TDs a game and all our 3 HBs split the carries

Like I said now a days. We have a power back who did next nothing his first 2 seasons and now is just breaking doublt digit tackles every game.

Understood, but my concern is to why D-Mac was able to break so many tackles against players who are good tacklers. Is there no balance in this regard respectively? Does a high power runner automatically negate a good tackling defender?

Duly noted. Thanks for the info, now we just have to find a way to counter it.

well their is some RNG and Im assuming that breaking tackles is some formula is the runners formula compared to the tacklers formula which gives a percentage to how often the tackle will be broken then rolls the die taking that into effect. Maybe another part in the formula is momentum since he is picking up speed and maybe confidence for the RB Boosts and if the first tacklers Morale drops maybe his teammates are affected to. You get all that?

It is also much more difficult to make "open field" tackles.
