Seattle East?

Why not just meet in the middle and call it Omaha?

I know Rodriguez has had a rough offseason but everybody else has to build a team, we dont just make friends with another team owner who has 100 players..

There is a reason there is a "trade pending" window, so opposing teams know what they are going up against, I went to bed last night, woke up and Miami has added 4 new players, all ran by the same guy...that dont count the two he brought in the other day, right now tciss has two free agent DE's hmmm I assume they are going to sign, right before our game?

The fact is, if this isnt against the rules, I dont know what is...I know its "not a trade" but its purposely breaking down one team to build up another

It's a simple business transaction. I need money to finish my stadium and he needed players due to treachery on his team. There is nothing illegal about it. You would not have seen any "Trade Pending" notice on his team because he payed for the players. So unless you think you are entitled to be notified whenever someone makes a trade or signs a free agent, I'm not sure what your problem is here. You have a fine team and will finish well, whats wrong with Miami remaining competitive? The players they are getting are not even of the same caliber as those they lost.

Now if you can site the rule that says this transaction is illegal then cough it up, other wise accusing others of gutting does little to improve your image.

BTW, after courting the players that trashed his team I hardly think you hold any moral authority in this game or league.

did you release the players and have him sign them? Or did he pay cash in a trade for them?

And as for being a "moral authority"? We tried to sign 2 of them. Not half a squad.

Improve my image? Do you really think I care about my image?

Point blank there is a reason teams cant do multiple trades within a 3 week period, the reason is...exactly what you are doing, only reason you can do it, is cause you are a one man team who can just cut your players and sign whereever and not have to worry about a trade.

Another thing YOU dont know is how freaking hard owners have to work to BUILD a team, my team would of looked similar to Miami if I did nothing during the offseason(not quite as bad cause I am careful with my GMs)

What you are doing is disrespectful to everybody who works hours to land the 20+ players they got

I hear what you say Robjay and I also hear tciss. I would say there is no real problem here.

I'd just like to see what actually happened--if it was releasing and signing players, or actual trades.

you can only make one trade in 21 days...and he could of only moved 3 players in one trade so the other 3 players plus the two DE's Im sure will sign are cut and signs

6 players? it's only four. What business is it of yours that I move players around. I understand you don't like to have to compete, but It's not like I gutted my team. Again, I'm looking to finish my stadium and require money to do that. Miami needed players and by sending guys over there I could continue to have fun in this league. I don not think my team would be able to when the Western conference due to the strength of a few of the teams and because RL kept me too busy during the scrimmages to actually learn and test the advanced AI. Recent sim changes also hampered several of my players due to builds geared towards the old sim. Given all these things I decided to use this season to work on the builds and experiment with the new AI.

If I were gutting my team you would have a point, however as evidenced by my win today I think it is clear I still have a viable team. I gave up nothing but depth in this transaction and made money in the mean time.

Would this somehow be different if I were to trade players to some other team? Are we only allowed to trade one player at a time or only release players when you approve?

Get a life and a clue.

For the rest of you I do apologies if this somehow offends you, but MRod was supposed to post the details of this in the forums but I guess he got busy as I have not heard from him today.

Dude....It must be weird actually having other people to talk to on Miami's team forum, huh?

What's interesting is that the 2 OTs that you have on Miami's team are higher levels than the ones on your own team. I thought you only "traded" depth away?

Did you trade them? Or did you cut and sign 'em?

I'm sorry...but I just find it really interesting that a guy who has about 100 players suddenly becomes a GM on the team that was victimized by a bad GM....and now several of your players appear to have been cut from your team and signed by the team you GM. I don't think that's good sportsmanship...and it quite possibly is a rules violation.

First off this is not about competing...you know NOTHING about competing, you have a team full of your own players, I dont wanna know how much money you spend on this and your telling me to get a life? Really? Players like you are the reason why there is going to be sportsmanship penalties and somebody with 4 players on my team might get penalized

You know nothing about the market and how tough it is to get players, you also know nothing about having different people on your team, some of which want to leave your team then your right back in the market looking for more players...You own 50 players or more and you can afford to hand your guys off...Yes you only moved 4 so far, but dont act like you didnt have any intention on signing those two DE's free agents to Miami also

How is that fair to somebody who sat at there computer turning in offers for 6+ hours to get one new player? Its not no matter how you swing it, my team is really good and thats from meeting people over GLB and recruiting people or at some points spending an arm an da leg to do itI love competition and I wish we beat the old Brawlers today but its not my fault he had bad seeds as his GM's before...

There IS rules against what you are doing rather you like it or not and the only reason you can do it is cause you got a one man team...

That's right I would rather buy my own team rather that have to deal with whiners and juveniles.
Depth by the way does not mean players that do not start, those are called backups which make up part of ones depth.

As to the question of trade or cut, why don't check the rules that you seem to think I broke and read the section that outlines the limit on the number of players that may be cut during a 24 hour period.

Look on the bright side, you may be able to beat Seattle now and improve to 1-3.

The fact that you'd rather just throw money at the game than deal with the social aspect of the game says it all.

Honestly? I don't know the rules about cutting/signing. There may not be any violation whatsoever. I do know that trading players away to build another team up at the expense of one is against the rules. You've admitted to it on this thread. You've said that you know you won't win, and you're giving up on this season in order to experiment on the new AI and allow Miami a chance to compete.

I don't think tciss is doing anything that bad. He clearly was not going to win the west this season. The most important thing for him was to fix his players, learn the new AIs, and to get cash for his stadium.

I think getting cash is pretty important for teams that play ahead. I know we plan on paying for all the equipment of our players and tciss obviously does too. Lvl 24 equipment is $200k and lvl 32 equip is $800k. Most of my team will hit lvl 32 next year, so I know I have to have enough seats to be able to pay about $35-$40mm in equipment.

I'm going to be guessing about this part, but tciss being a GM on the Brawlers probably lets him share ideas with another player/team and will help his team in the future.

He posted in Goalineblitz that he wanted to quit playing and wanted to find out if it is legal to combine his account with someone elses.
