I hac some blitz packages set up and I'm having a big failure with these. The players are starting their blitz attack from their backfield position rather than attacking from moving to the LOS. Causes the blitz to be totally ineffective.

Any one have a solution to get then up to the LOS for a blitz?

Or is this a problem Bort will have to fix in the sim engine?

Just wondering if you have the 'Play Focus' to pass or run as this will affect how you stack the box with defenders.

For CBs and FS it is hard to control, but that is the beauty of their blitzes. You don't see it coming, you expect them to cover. Seeing them creep is a bad way to give your play away.

As far as SS, Run/Pass Focus DAI settings can move him up closer to the LoS.

One Name - Troy Polamalu Who does the safety blitz better? That's what I want when I set up a safety blitz. What I get is the safety starting from their deep postition and charging the blitz after the snap. And yes my safety and CB blitzes were from Pass focus setting.

Where there you go. If they were set to run focus, then your SS would stack the box.

Ok, I think this might be of some affect but does "stack the box more" AKA run focus. cause the FS/SS to play up more? Or if they are on M2M will it even effect them?

FS plays where he does reguardless. SS stacks in where a LB would be on a pass focus play (6-7 yards back of LoS). Thats where they start either Zone or Man coverage.

Only success I've had on safety blitzes is for stopping runs.

I eliminated all defensive back blitzes from my playbook because it just doesn't work. Like so much else in this game if you try to play it like real football you will only lose.

Sadly, this is true. Double CB blitz is a failure to do because LBs don't shoot out to their zones fast enough before the receivers can just catch the ball and go for a nice gain.

Cover 0 Dback blitzes DO work, I know from experience. Many sacks and interceptions have happened just from the pressure brought to the QB via these plays.

Safety blitz = completely broken.

so, as long as you are run focus and stack box, you should get a decent run stop regardless of what shell you are using?

I've managed to get some decent CB blitzes from the edge but they have little impact on pass plays due to the quickness of the QB release. There isn't enough time to make it work for pass plays.

I have our AI set to shut the run down when he offense in the Big I. I had all 3 LB's and SS blitzing if the offense linedup in the Big I.

I thought this play was the Big I but no SS blitz and the LB's werent centered like I had it set up. It was run focus stck the box too.

If this play isnt the Big I than what is it?
