i used, what a good friend of mine called a 'chickenshit tactic' and im sorry about that.

i was really just trying to expose holes in this new AI, and though my team isnt really built to run this gameplan i think i accomplised it.

its what i attempted to do last game but royally screwed up the settings and we basicly ran a weak HB run up the middle everytime.

so i figured why quit before i actually do what i wanted, and we ran a goalline formation run every play.

what it does is force the opponents defense into goalline defense, so a few broken tackles and its off to the races

This is why every smart team changes goalline defense to something that isn't goalline.

I wanted to try this on one of my other teams. I heard with a good power HB, it works wonders.

I can't tell if this is sarcasm laid on thick or if you are serious. This is a big hole in the AI. You guys probably beat us anyways...although I think we would have had a much better chance. It can be countered by adding defense AI, but who would have thought that it was necessary. I put a post in the bug form....even though this really isn't a bug, I think it should be addressed.

well you can go to a normal 4-3 but then your kinda putting yourself at a disadvantage on real goalline situations. so i do agree its a bug of sorts, but not sure how to fix it. thats why i brought it out in the open, more people that know it or even try it then it will get some attention.

At least with a 4-3, cover 2 you have a second line to of defense. If you play medium coverage distance the LBs will have time to react. Its probably still a 4-6 yard gain though.

i dont know to be perfectly honest i haven't even looked at defensive AI yet. around game 8 or 9 my brain will stop hurting from trying to plaly with the offense and ill check it out.

can you switch formations just say, inside your own 5?

Yeah you can base your formations on where your are on the field.

Around 8 or 9 the beer has numbed most of my brain cells .

i think that was genius.

in the defensive AI, you can set yardage restrictions on when you go into goalline D.

Goalline outside of 10 yard line: 4-3, stack the box, man to man, cover 1, cover short.

Goalline inside of 10 yard line: goal line formation

now to figure out how to pass long 100% from goalline formation

Can't. Goalline means run under GLB tactics. I think you can decide who rushes but apart from that, forget it.

To run goal line offense the entire game is pretty chitty in my book, it's just a game and it shouldn't be manipulated imo.
