Western conference goes first this time around. I may not be able to do them Sunday after game 4 as im usually on alot less during the weekends. I will try and pump them out early monday.
#1 Albuquerque Mustangs 3-0
Pro: Business as usual as the pounce on previously ranked #9 Wyoming. The favorite to win the west entering the season, and still the favorite today.
Cons: Big game against Reno 911 coming up. Reno's loss to Oakyville is only going to make this game harder for Albuquerque. I don't think a great team like Reno is looking to lose two in a row.
#2 Oakyville Nunjas 3-0
Pros: Man, it was tough deciding between oakyville and omaha. So I did what the BCS does. I went with strength of schedule. Oakyville deserves the recognition its getting this season. They have gotten the monkey off their back and have sealed the deal against a top notch opponent.
Cons: Their next 3 opponents are still 3-0. They've gotten through 25% of their rough stretch. 3 more games to go till they're home free until they play Albequerque at the end of the month.
#3 Omaha Dogs 3-0
Pros: 100+ points in a 3rd consecutive win, and it looks like more clear skies until they play oakyville 3 games away.
Cons: I wonder how prepared they will be for oakyville. By the time they meet, oakyville will have already played against some of the toughest teams in this division while omaha will have no big game experience at all this season. I know they played a number of big games and won them last season, but they have yet to put their team against this new and revived oakyville squad.
#4 Reno 911 2-1
Pros: This team is still one of the favorites to win BBB #14. They lost a tough game to a tough opponent that coulda gone either way. They also improved with their new dt from rocky mountain redridge (whatever their name is). Its tough to bump them down more then 3 spots after a close lost to a great team.
Cons: As good as they are, this team is in jepoardy of starting off 2-2. That would put them 2 games behind some great teams in this league like albequerque, omaha, and possibly oakyville.
#5 Orly Owls 3-0
Pros: Its a shame I coudn't bump them up from last times ranking, but if they continue doing what they need to do (winning games that is), them I can promise you this team will get the recognition it deserves. I'm anxious to see what they could do against oakyville.
Cons: I know i brought this up last week about the level 13 kicker but he did go 0/1 last game, so not only is he missing, hes not getting the xp he needs to level up quicker. Regardless, a kicker doesn't make or break a team by any means.
#6 San Francisco Wildcats 2-1
Pros: This team has the potential of starting 5-1 which puts them in the fast track for solid playoff seeding. A favorable schedule early on as well as a solid team on top of great chemistry = GREAT SUCCESS! This is one of my favorite teams in the west, and I can't explain why, but I find myself rooting for them.
Cons: They still need to show they could put up points when it matters. They will have a chance to prove themselves against reno game 7.
#7 Houston Apollos 3-0
Pros: 300 total points, 1st in the standings, a number of their players amongst the league leaders in stats, whats not to like?
Cons: Whats not to like is this. 6 of their next 8 games against all the opponents that are ranked above them in these power rankings.
#8 Chattanooga Quarantine 1-2
Pros: Gotta admire their close win against the Carolina Bar Stars. They stayed composed even after starting out 0-2. Its not their fault they had to open against Orly and Omaha. Great win chatt.
Cons: They will likely be fighting till the end of the season to make the playoffs, so they need to keep their ground so teams like carolina and kala and wyoming don't gain too much ground on them.
#9 Carolina Bar Stars 1-2
Pros: 3 winnable games coming up which they really need because a 4-2 record is what they're going to need going into the tough stretch in their schedule.
Cons: Devastating loss to chatt. It was a close game that coulda gone eaither way. Unfortunetly, it didn't go theirs.
#10 Wyoming Express 1-2
Pros: Hey, they scored against the mustangs. Thats something to be proud of considering they played the best. They also got a winnable game against trojan coming up to be 2-2.
Cons: After the trojans, they play 5 of the best teams in the league.
#11 Kalamazoo Wolverines 0-3
Pros: I look at this team, and I see a lot of good players. This team could easily be one of the top 8 teams, and after the omaha game, I think this team may be able to go on a solid little winning streak.
Cons: They will prolly start off 0-4. Lets hope their morale isn't too low. They will need to beat carolina despite the low morale and low chemistry. They better bring out an A+ gameplan.
#12 Ambridge Bridgade 1-2
Pros: Hey, a wins a win, even if it is against a computer owned team. It should help morale, and prepare them for some very competitive teams coming up. Great Chemistry helps too.
Cons: I wanna see them put a human owned team, and I'm sure they do too. They will get their chance.

Pros: 3 points against the wild cats !
